I think this style of scene generation is always interesting, though I will say it is much easier for a seasoned story teller to use as they are able to quickly create interesting twists from the simplest of prompts. For example: I and others might not have immediately thought of "investigate information" as a prompt for the artifact to be missing in that context, it was a very clever way to integrate it into the established narrative, I personally would think more along the lines of the warehouse having something about it making progress hard/impossible (like supernatural/technological barriers) which required more investigation to bypass. Perhaps a few more optional tables to draw more inspiration from when the player is stuck could help.
That is all valid. I will say that this a semi planned recording where I knew what I was going to say before hitting record. Either one of our suggestions could be applicable and that's the beauty of this system, no one will look at the same prompts the same way. And yes, there will be tables to help this sort of thing, as well as a whole write up on how use these features and more.
I've never done a solo rp before, & I'm decidedly interested in how this all comes together. From this video this seems to be geared towards shorter chronicles, given the amt of randomness in the plot. But I could def be entirely wrong. I'd be interested in trying some solo play, as I have a few characters I'd love to play, but who wouldn't really work in a group setting (particularly a Lifelike Duskborn w/ Concatenating Blood, who comes into contact w/ & becomes an interest of Dr. Netchurch). I'll def be buying the Autarkis book in the coming days.
Great video! Did you have any other table's you'd recommend using that work well for VtM/WoD? The Gread Book of Random Tables looks nice but slanted towards a more fantasy setting. Is Table Fables Modern a lot more useful? Any others you'd recommend? Thanks!
TF is more useful for modern things, yes and I have the former because I wish to do more fantasy things. Those are also the only two I posses at this time, but there are plenty of vids out there recommending stuff, just not a lot of modern things
Dude, your voice is amazing.
Thank you!
Awesome video - Cant wait to see more for Vampire 5th 🥰 Ty ty for the awesome stuff - Also getting Autarkis from DriveThru RPG very soon 🥰
