Those LED headlights are pretty sweet! Deciding between a 2020 or 2021 model. 2020 has those sweet discounts but I really enjoyed this video showing all the new light features which other reviews fail to show.
If you turned on all zones and turned truck off will they turn off with the truck? If so do they turn back on after you start truck back up? So you have to manually turn them off and on on screen? Thanks!
I still cannot understand why a $60k truck still does not come with full LED lights front and rear like RAM, GMC and Chevy. They put in partial LED for the zone lighting, reverse lights and fog/surround lights, so why not just go all they way? This is one of the drawbacks why I am still leaning away from Ford.
Yes. Just look by the map lights and you should see a switch that is orange instead of blue. Press that and the lights will come on when you open the door.
Is there a way to keep the door interior ambient lights on at night? Mine turn on when I open my doors but havent figured out how to keep them on with the door shut
I live in a rural area and would love to have the side mirror LED light in while driving down our dark road and up my long driveway, do you know if you can keep them on while driving?
Would love to hear how those LED headlights look while driving. As someone with a 13xlt and bad halogen the next truck decision has me torn on full led or the reflector option. Good video
The XLT with the 302A feel like a lariat 2020 minus the leather and cooled seats. I will be doing more videos on these trucks so stayed tuned and see which one works best for you!
@@JVette01 yeah I know there's no warm up time, for a second I thought Ford was being smart and had a warmer set of chips in there that turned on with fogs.
Sadly no, which is a real shame because it shouldn't cost manufacturers much anymore to make them LED now that LEDs have dramatically reduced in price.
In my opinion, they look cool, give you better lighting, and help light up the sides of the road (like the F150 in the video). I like using them, but to each their own
Also, as far as blinding people are concerned, they’re aimed toward the ground, not up and outward. In the video, I show what the light pattern looks like with just fog lights on and it definitely does not shine in people’s eyes.
Fog lights are designed to penetrate low - below the fog. The higher you aim a light in fog the less you see. That's why you should NEVER use brights in fog. You will only see LESS. The only time a fog light will blind someone is if they are incorrectly aimed. A lot of people don't re-aim their lights when they replace incandescent bulbs with LED's or HID's, or do lifts. I always re-aim my lights personally on every vehicle I purchase.
Been waiting for someone to do this. Those lights are amazing
Yeah I love all the LEDs!
I love these videos cuz you can see how they look like at night and it’s amazing thank you so much
Thanks for watching! I have a Bronco Sport and some others in the pipe line so stay tuned! :)
Thank you for the night video! This is everything I wanted!
Glad I could help. I’ll have a video on the top of the line models with the adaptive projector headlights once I get the chance. Thanks for watching!

If it were me, I’d wait until 2021’s had discounts. This new F150 has all the right changes you’d want in a redesign.
Thank you, been wondering how well the new lights would perform.
Thanks for watching!
Wow those LED's are really nice especially if you are in straight darkness 😮
They light up the place!
Thanks, Zone lighting at night. I've been looking for a video like this for a while.
Glad I could help!

I am patiently waiting for my 2021 F150 Lariat , cant wait to try the lights !
You’ll love it!
Thanks for taking the time to do this!
You’re welcome!
From the bottom of my heart thank you very much
I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching

Are there interior lights when you open the door?
When I open the door the cabin is dark.
Thanks
Yes. Just look by the map lights and you should see a switch that is orange instead of blue. Press that and the lights will come on when you open the door.
Got it!
Thank you

Go into the settings under ambient light. You might have to turned off.
I live in a rural area and would love to have the side mirror LED light in while driving down our dark road and up my long driveway, do you know if you can keep them on while driving?
I think you can under a certain speed. I’ll have to double check though.

They are really good. I’m curious how the adaptive projector ones look like. Stay tuned for that video once one comes in!
That’s great. Makes me think an XLT would be the trim then. Or 501a lariat. Get the leather.

Sounds like katskin is in the future then.
Sounds like a plan! Haha
I'm pretty much buying this truck for these lights!
Did the color temp of the headlights warm up when you turned the fogs on or was that the camera adjusting?
Camera adjusting. LEDs don’t have to warm up like Xenons
@@JVette01 yeah I know there's no warm up time, for a second I thought Ford was being smart and had a warmer set of chips in there that turned on with fogs.
Do the XLT offer LED rear brake lights. Did not see this in the F150 configurations. Thank you
Unfortunately the XLT does not offer LED brake lights. Have to step up to Lariat
How do you like the adaptive steering “stiffens up when driving at higher speeds” when driving down the highway?
I haven’t taken a 2021 F150 on the highway yet, but the steering feels great when driving around!
Can you activate all zones from the key fob? Or only from the interior?
Just from the inside with that screen.
Awesome video!
Thanks!
thanks for sharing this night video
You’re welcome!
Great!pls show us higher trims of F150 in night, thx
I am working on it. Should have a high trim F150 video this week. Stay tuned!
Good video. But the turn signals were missing.
You can see the front one a little when I press the unlock button. For the back, it’s just the taillights flashing.
@@JVette01 thanks
Is the third high mounted brake light led as well?
Yes.
@@JVette01 great, thanks man, really appreciate the in depth lighting reviews, always something I look out for on cars
Are the tail lights LED as well?
Only the reverse light.
Sadly no, which is a real shame because it shouldn't cost manufacturers much anymore to make them LED now that LEDs have dramatically reduced in price.
Can you do the zone lighting With The Ford my pass app
I’m not sure on that one.
how much is that model truck?
I believe this one was around 47k MSRP. Don’t let that scare you though because you can always pick these up for huge discounts.
o ok thank you sir
How do I turn it off
You need to go in the settings under ‘features’ and turn it off.
👍
You need to get a remote Mike and learn how to use it.
True, I’ve been using a GoPro in more of my recent videos and the mic on the GoPro is much better.
Nice video but why exactly are you using your fog lights all the time?! You're blinding other drivers. Fog lights should be used when it's foggy.
Fog lights are low to the ground, they don’t blind people.
@@JVette01 they kind'a do. No reason to use fog lights when it's not foggy.
