fyi, it's much harder to spike the ball than to kick it. where the hand is on the ball while it's being served or spiked can make the ball either: spin fast, w increase power, like a bullet OR it can float, wobbling mid air due to it's low power, landing unpredictably. the wobbling ball is v difficult to receive cz it can change direction literally at the last second. that's why even though jump serves are powerful and fun to look at, jump floaters are the ones ppl use to score in a pinch. the foot has no capability to change the ball's spin, therefore it isn't hard to ctrl or predict where it goes. as a whole VB is the most difficult group sports that there is. period. there's nothing rivaling it. especially not American football, basketball, futbol, baseball etc. needing to counter gravity in itself makes VB not comparable to other sports. not even tennis.
