Amrish Puri and Kader Khan both were never in the main role still the biggest legends in bollywood ever from my point of view and even OM Puri was the finest actor I have ever seen in the world but bollywood never used his potential like they did with IRRFAN KHAN, whether it is Amitabh, Rajesh Khanna or any Khan no one can match the legacy of the 4 actors mentioned above.

I agree. He was one of a kind. Played both negative and positive roles beautifully. He also has a theater background. My dad and uncle went to theater school with him in Punjab. Om Puri went to the same school but he was few years behind. Unfortunately my dad and uncle were forbidden to go into films because their parents were too strict.
This song was a blockbuster hit that year. Mamta Kulkarni was ruling those days as very beautiful actress.

I enjoyed your reaction. This film is definitely one to watch! It's based on the concept of reincarnation. It was extremely popular when it came out. I have watched it a number of times and enjoy it every time. Just judge it for the period it came out. Indian cinematography and special effects have moved on considerably.

Fun fact: the Director of this movie is Hrithik's dad (Rajesh Roshan) the music is directed by his uncle (Rajesh Roshan) and Hrithik was assistant director on this movie plus another movie called Koyla which was also directed by his father and SRK+Madhuri were the lead and it had Amrish puri as the main villain.
Rick is spot on with the comparison. Rakesh Roshan took heavy inspiration from Sholay for this movie, especially this song. The motive of the heroes are pretty similar in both cases, loot their ammo while they are busy partying. Only what they do with it afterward is different.
