New Way King Cobra Rear Loader Vs. Midtown Recycling

  • One of Atlanta’s Crane Carrier New Way King Cobras flying through a recycling route in Midtown. I really like the way the city spec’d these trucks. Folding doors for ease of entry/exit, 2 fast Barker tippers, and unique lights on the tailgate.
Aside from the truck, Atlanta crews are known to be no nonsense crews, and this is no exception. All 3 people work together at a quick pace and knock out streets very fast. I particularly enjoy watching them knock out stops with 5-10 carts.
Lots of Atlanta’s routes are heavy, but the midtown neighborhood is very dense with a mix of single family homes and multi family homes. As you can see, stops range from 1 cart, to 10. And each time they stop, they can service up to 5 homes at a time with how packed together the houses are. In addition, it’s also common to see extra cardboard out for collection. Starting around 7:30, this crew was just about packed out a little before 11am. A testament to their hustle & the high volume of recycling on the route.
    Enjoy!
Thanks to the awesome crew. Hope y’all found the video.

Great video Axel! I found myself thoroughly watching this video to the end! Atlanta crews never fail to entertain me, and this one is no exception! That’s definitely a unique light setup on the tailgate, but I honestly love it. Those big strobe lights give me big DSNY vibes. I stand with Barker being the best quality tipper made, and this video really showcases that. Keep up the great videos!

Hunter, this is definitely one of my favorites! The crew along with the Barker tippers made for a speedy finish! That King Cobra looks like it can pack recycling pretty good. Finally, glad you got a CCC with that iconic symbol vs the Battle symbol lol! By far, this is the best Atlanta video thus far 😊!

Glad you enjoyed! New way RLs are notorious for packing a tight load, especially these king cobras. I agree about the CCC symbol, it wouldn’t be the same if it had the fake plastic battle on the front. Thanks for the comment!

Awesome video! Your Atlanta videos are always fun to watch. Some of those extra set outs rival some bulk piles I've seen. Hope to see more!

Spectacular video. This is just as entertaining to watch as those fast ESD crews with the continuous packing, fast tippers and piles of carts lined up to get tipped. With how they group up carts at certain points in the block to get dumped I could see a lot of these residents ending up with a different cart each week lol. I dig how the city made those 10in wheels standard for the Rehrigs, it’s pretty unique and I definitely prefer them over the newer plastic ones. Chill and hustling crew definitely made for a fun video. I wonder what their daily stop count is like.

Thanks Eli! Glad I’m not the only one this gave ESD vibes to lol. Oh yeah residents definitely get their carts mixed up quite a bit. The 10in wheels work really well with how often the carts are shoved 10-15 feet back to the curb. They allow the cart to stay standing after being pushed and shoved. Unsure how many stops but another crew in a different part of town told me 1200 once upon a time.
