- It's an overcast day in Trinidad and Mr Bat is our guide to the waterfall in Manacal Valley, Caura. Follow us on this bushman adventure as we walk along the bench road to Blanchisseuse, over bridges built in colonial days and along tributaries; and as we walk, we talk about olden days in Trinidad and Tobago, survival skills, and Mr Bat's life as an agriculture farmer.

What a naturistic place. My grandfather used to go to the forest and drink water from the vine. I would really love love to visit this place sometime.

Did a hike from the Arima Blanchisseuse Road and came out past Mr. Bat's home, it was a beautiful walk! Hopefully one day I can make it to the waterfall!

@@lyndonbaptiste yes we did, but it was a bit of hearing the river and not hearing it before we actually got to it.
In an age where clicking has replaced reading, "The Ghost of Caura" reminds us of the importance of properly recording and documenting crucial events in History per chance Destiny be traded for a handful of beans. I have now completed my reading of this Masterfully written book from cover to cover, and can objectively conclude that the literary genius of the author proudly stands as a talented equal, eye to eye and shoulder to shoulder, with all of great Masters of West Indian Literature! A must in every classroom in the Caribbean. Mr. Lance Baptiste, I salute you! You've left your indelible footprint "Inside Caura".

I was frighten (snake)in that last bit of bush walk to the waterfall, when Mr, Bat pull out his machete and started to chop bush..i see your camera focus in the bush..looking for mapippire, no doubt....i was looking too. lolz. I am sure when you saw that waterfall you forgot about snakes...beautiful ! ( i understand Oct /Nov is mating season for Maps..so they more vicious)
