Out of all the NS Heritage Unit schemes, my favorites are: CNJ, Conrail, PRR, NYC, Nickel Plate Road, and the Reading.
Outstanding
Chasing NS heritage units is a hobby
NS has done the best job of all the railroads , with heritage units
The Nickel Plate, always my favorite.
Fav - Penn Central
Your Next - Illinois Terminal
I like the Nickle Plate Road Heritage unit because my mother in the 1940's worked for them while my father was serving in WWII.
Nice to see this. Really looking forward to you working on the mountains.
Tell Chris he still needs to make a real purchase. Cardboard at York doesn’t count.
Jas....all the lash-ups that you were running...are they all powered locos ........my favorite train there would be the tank train.......always look forward in seeing your videos...😊
Nickel Plate Road, Conrail,Southern, Norfolk and Western are my Favorites!!!!🚂🚂🚂
Wow that whole layout is awesome. I can’t pick a favorite cause they are all great! 👍
My favorite NS Heritage engine is the Virginian but also like the LV, JC and Lackawanna. The Illinois Terminal is also very fine, Oh heck I like them all, hats off to NS as they made a lot of people rail fans when they came out with them.
Love the mountain and how it blends with the background.
Love Conrail and Norfolk and Western units. Really like the Roadrailer train too.
A vote for Penn Central from York, Pennsylvania.
Excellent video. I got to run most of these units before I retired. Many of the others as trailing units. There were always loads of fans waiting to take pictures when we went through each town. When you got one of these locomotives, you were guaranteed to have plenty of picture takers all along your route. Berea is always the most crowded and the best place to catch NS, along with CSX, action. Just lots of fans. Be safe and have a great Thanksgiving.
Layout looks good along with the heritage units you were running I have a few of them but the Illinois Terminal caught my eye and is my favorite. Being from Pennsylvania the Pennsylvania unit is also one of my favorites and I saw it when it was new at the Pennsylvania museum. I could not believe how big it was even though I saw many like it at trackside. Remember there are 21 heritage units if you count the one on the turntable at Spenser, NC.
Idk that green and white just pulls me in! Layouts looking great!
I like the Conrail and NPR !!! Keep up the great work on the mountain!!
Pennsy is always a favorite - NOW you just need to get the Jersey Central engine ;)
Id say the next one should be brighter in color either 8105 Interstate or 1067 Reading Lines or maybe even 1071 Central Railroad of New Jersey
JASON THANKS FOR SHARING HAPPY THANKSGIVING YOU AND SHELBY GOD BLESS ;-)
Thanks for sharing this cavalcade of heritage diesels from NS, Jason. For favourites, I have three: Nickel Plate, NYC and Pennsylvania. Those are the railroads I'm most familiar with coming from Northeast Ohio in the past. I don't know what the fascination is with ConRail by O gauge collectors. I always considered the logo humdrum and when they interfered with CP's access rights to the port of New York even when the U.S. STB made it quite clear that CP had this right after its acquisition of the Delaware and Hudson RR, they were still a pain in the butt. 'nough said. Thanks for always your fans informed.
Great video, Jason! Tough call for me on favorite. I really like the N&W and Southern units, but I think I have to go with the Conrail.
the trains are looking good
Nickel Plate Road is probably my favorite. Makes sense. since I'm from Indiana. Keep up the great work Jason.
Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!!! NYC!!!
Love the NKP diesel, but not as much as 765 pulling that excursion train with the PRR diesel in reserve 😊 Layout coming along great! Thank you for sharing it with us 👍
Awesome video Jason! Thanks for posting; it’s a perfect night (cold and rainy) for watching and running trains.
Model Train Weather, my favorite!
Jason, seeing the progress on the second mountain ( looks great btw) You have a great built in lookout tower with that black pipe. Put windows around the joint and brick the lower pipe. Just a suggestion. Glad to see the progress. Enjoy the Christmas season with your new bride.
Very awesome!!! My favorite is the monongahela.
Layout is looking great!! I love the Southern and Norfolk and Western units!!!
Which NS heritage unit should you get next? The one that's going to be announced in December.
Hmm I wonder which one that could be?!?!
Of the ones you own, it’s hard to beat Conrail blue. My favorite NSHU is the Virginian, though, since it’s the first one I saw in person, plus the yellow and black looks sharp. Thanks for another nice video. Good luck with the second mountain!
That's one of my favorites too
Layout looks amazing! I love the N&W and the Southern rigs, but I'm partial since both ran through my hometown!
Great job! I think some red is appropriate. Maybe get the Lehigh Valley next. Thanks for sharing.
That's at the top of the list
Incredible collection!
I collect them if I've been on them, so far we're at Interstate. An engineer I work with was upset that he had the Conrail because the PC is his favorite.
Holidays coming up hoping to get some run time on my own layout, until then live vicariously through yours. Nice progress thus far love the mountains!!
Great stuff Jason!
NKP and Conrail combo goes crazy! I also appreciate the Triple Crown train! Looks good!
That’s just AWESOME!!
Everything looks great.
Watching your long consists on screen makes me feel like I am at a RR crossing and watching 100 cars go by and loving every minute of it.
You and your family has a great and safe Thanksgiving.
Man the layout has come a long way! Many hours looks great Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family
My favorite NS heritage unit is unfortunately one that you don’t have yet. The Bright Green Illinois Terminal #1072. Also because Green is one of my favorite colors.
I only have 1heritage unit in ho scale. It's the Lehigh valley unit.
Noice! Keep up the good work
The mountains are looking great! Can you do a video on how you build them?
Check out layout update 14, I do a brief recap of how I build them.
I will! I should always look back at older clips. Sorry about that.
Sneak pic of the new mount tian in construction stage?
Yup, at the beginning
V cool Jason how on earth do you make the mountains so big like that
Plywood and 2x4s LOL
Hi Jason. Keep up the good work on the layout.
Hi Jason love your videos. Happy Thanksgiving to you & your wife & your family..
Reading Lines Heritage! 👍🏻
That’s cool
I actually like the dark blue engine the best out of the 1's here tonight well night 4 me lol
Hey Jason layout looking great always enjoy your videos. I was wondering if you use the mth dcs system to control your trains? If so have you ever made a video to show how to use it. As in doing the engine start up and other things the remote does. It would be a big help for some of us just starting to use the dcs system. Thanks Danny
I use MTH DCS, however, I've never done a tutorial as I feel there are several online already.
Conrail 💙
I love that layout. Can you tell me who makes those trains?
Very nice! 🚆
So when are you going to cover the plywood with scenery?
Great question, I don't know LOL
How did you get such a beautiful layout? I've always wanted a layout of the same size, detail, and scale.
Unfortunately, I'm 14 and have a summer job, school, and I'm also a firefighter.
Any tips or helpful information you can give me?
BTW my favorite railroad is Norfolk Southern.
A lot of planning, taking inspiration from others, and hard work (both in school and professional career).
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I will use this information to help me build my layout.@@JDStucks
😸😄

Conrail an the green an white
Penn Central

Love the progress on your layout, my favorite NS heritage locomotives are the Southern and Savannah & Atlanta, you're next NS heritage locomotive should be the EL!
Just do what I did get them all
LOL!
