The improvement of thesse two from week one has been amazing. Grambling song selection and arrangements are nice. Alcorn has cleaned up and I can hear the improvement in their arrangements. Congrats to both of these bands for putting on a great display these two have great history and rivalry together this is what I love to see a battle with two bands just displayig their own style of playing
Very solid battle. Alcorn was definitely more consistent all the way through. But Grambling’s version of straightening and nevada is pressure fasho! Alcorn version of “ok ok” and “secrets” was nice!
If Sounds of Dynamites had all king Brass instruments, they would be untouched, and 4 more Tuba players. Hell they could take on Boston symphonic orchestra, dam they sound great.
Nice unexpected battle for me. GSU is not to be slept on anymore. Very strong moments in this battle. But Alcorn was more consistent with their energy for me. The student arrangers do a good job at getting the band energized (Drew and Jared). GSU may need to search their talent pool and give some of their student arrangers a chance. Alcorn sounds ready for the big SWAC comp.
GSU sounds ready too This fifth Wass very good. But two different approaches to their own style and arrangements. Alcorn vs gsu is normally a nice battle yearly anyway
I like both schools! But Alcorn was a little petty on that one song! 😂😂😂 But great battle! I’m happy to see Grambling coming back on the scene and strong! But babee! Them GGs was coming for heads and necks!
I applaud your commitment to become Txsu #1 hater, Txsu not even in this battle and you found a way to send a shot towards them, I respect the consistency. You are well on your way to the top of I Hate The Ocean power ranking 😂😂😂
The audio sounds different on each band. GSU was really pushing watts however the video favors Alcorn because the video volume is turn up more on their footage. Just my observation. Both bands did extremely well.
@@armonblackwell4059 I don’t have to stop 🛑 doing anything. I never discredited Alcorn in my statement but only pointed out flaws in the audio. Grambling - I give you the "W" given your song selection, musicallity, intonation, articulation, balance, use of dynamics, percussion blend and therefore ensemble - The G is practicing and it shows, as the sound reaches clear across the stadium. Alcorn great job, though ensemble is off between Tubas, Piccolos and Trumpets. Intonation is a major problem in woodwinds, upper and middle brass. In listening to you Alcorn, the intensity isn't uniform across sections, not bad, but leaves a lot to be desired. Alcorn you litterally have all the ingredients, it comes down to intonation, voicing trombones against btones and mellos against trumpets and song selection so I give you the "L."
Alcorn your btones need sectional they killed y’all the whole game and a couple of songs y’all had tempo issues and not coming in together.. grambling I can tell y’all did some cleaning up good job.
@@drhhaa22 neither one tool a L the improvement from these bands sayes alot!!!!.GSU and ASUZ SONG selection arrangements and balance and sound is nice this is a classic GSU vs Asus battle they are both very very good playing right here. ALCORN TUBAS 🔥🔥🔥 band wise good Fashoo
Alcorn really has put themselves back in that power box. They look smaller but louder and cleaner. Keep it up Alcorn.
Grambling is Good , but Alcorn is Impressive . . Great Showing both schools

This is so far the best battle of the season. Both bands sound GREAT!
Dega vs JSU best battle so far
