  • Welcome to Weekly Used Gun Review. These videos are meant to by entirely educational. Nothing in the video is for sale. There are no fire demonstrations in this video. In this series I pick a small sample of guns that have been brought into our store for review. This is a good way to expose my viewers to a wide array of firearms that might not otherwise get their own dedicated review. Any comments asking for pricing or inquiries into the purchase of these items will be deleted. Thanks for watching!

Kel Tec also offers a conversion that rotates the barrel/forearm 90° before folding so optics aren't an issue. If you'd ever like to schedule a visit to Kel Tec, theyre usually social media friendly (especially for FFL) I live 10 mins from their factory & run beach vacation rentals. Just say the word!

seeing the S&W 686 brought back lots of good memories. It was my first issued duty gun for the Border Patrol in 1988. I was very mad at the DOJ and Border Patrol when they got rid of them and never offered if we wanted to purchase them. With this firearm I was to the TOP SHOT in my BP class. Shot the perfect score. of 360.

I bought my girlfriend a G2C (Some people asked if I actually love her.) for like $180. I knew she’s never gonna carry it, it was just home defense pistol. It fit her small hands well but slide was easy enough to rack, had the 2nd strike capabilities, decent capacity, and had a manual safety.

Man that 586 really brought back some memories! I carried a 586 in nickle back in 85 and 86 as a county Sheriff aux dept. The regular deputies were all transferring over or had transferred over to semi autos. I was a school bus mechanic and I remember the range officer saying "don't piss off that little bus mechanic, he's a damn good shot"! LOL. He was a sarg on the dept. Heck of a nice guy! He is gone now. Sorry for the book, just brought back good memories. Carry on!

Sorry, forgot to mention that your first hand gun, the Taurus G2C in 9mm is what I C&C every day. Heck of a fine little auto, and feels and shoots well! Put an Armalaser on it! It is really accurate.

FYI, The Kel Tec warranty only covers the original purchaser with the original sales receipt. Lose the receipt or buy used and you will be on your own. I bought a new sub 2000, kept the receipt and had a horrible time getting them to repair a factory defect. My first Kel Tec was my last Kel Tec.

@Jones I concur. My first upgrades are a 2 finger charging handle, a steel ramp, the improved bolt tube cover. Going with an offset red dot.
Also doing something about the grip texture.
Overall we are quite happy with it.
Fits a small framed 100lb person quite well, though it has taken some breaking in for them to be able to effectively chamber the thing.
I definitely like it more than my Ruger PC carbine. Plus it looks pretty cool folded up in my small hiking bag.

Even ballpark figure would be nice, or tell us how much they cost in your shop. I am new here, and I just subscribed. Great video though.

I do have a recommen. If you are going to do 6 or more gun tell us what they in the beginning so we know it there is something we may be really interested in. I personally like the older guns myself not so much into the glocks and such. Let's face it a lot of the new stuff is so similar you know stuff like internal strikers and such, gets a little boring at times compared to say Winchester model 52 or the Colt diamondback..but I did like the 686 and the 586 would love the 586 myself.

Eclectic: composed of elements drawn from various sources (usually the best of varied sources)
I believe the word you may be looking for there is "esoteric": of special, rare, or unusual interest.
While your entire presentation may be an eclectic array of weapons, you wouldn't necessarily say that the less common ones are "more eclectic".

My stepdad had a singer 1911. His youngest son started getting into some shady sh!t and *somebody* broke in and stole all of his guns except for the shotgun that didn't feed right. Whoever it was I'm sure had no idea of the value of that 1911. Wouldn't surprise me if that gun has since been *confiscated* by a law enforcement officer and conveniently left unrecorded..
