    I"ve read that is alot of work to do that. when you get it finished please post a video of it. i would really love to see it. also keep track of cost. im always interested in ideas to do away with the opti for cheap,,lol thats one thing i miss about my ls1 car i used to have,it had alot of problems but the ignition wasnt one of them.

    Are you shifting the 4L80 into 4th gear? How tall is the rear tire? Good luck with getting back to the track!

      No. Finishing 3rd. Rear tire is 26" Micky Thompson ET Street. Its been 10 years. I'll get it back soon at It will be deep into the 9's. 9.96 was my fastest you can see in another video. I'm shooting for high 8's. ua-cam.com/video/hHmamu_OXmY/v-deo.html

    Are you still racing this? What heads are you running? How about boost level?

    • @pattybart1023
      @pattybart1023  4 роки тому +2

      No, I tore it apart 5 years ago. Bought a house and have been fixing it. I should be putting it back together 2020. The heads are AFR 210CC. The boost was about 15psi after a liquid to air intercooler chilled with ice water. Air temperatures were 64 degrees at launch and 98 at finish with 80 degrees ambient air temp.

    • @JohnnyCTSV
      @JohnnyCTSV 10 років тому +1

      no kidding... most stock 10 bolts would pop under much less power/tq with sticky tires. Id say this one wont have much life left either

      its because its an auto, its doesnt shock the rear as hard as the 6spd manual

      @@poncoolride well he never specified what kind of supercharger either. No need to try to make me feel stupid. It was simply a question. I have a powerdyne on my Impala and even though its on the lower income of superchargers, its very effective.

I even bought a carbon fiber hood and driveshaft to help me get into the 11.9 at 112 mph. If I can't i'm gonna rebuild for a 396 with bigger heads.
