Nice drop of McGuire's Studio, this guy is awesome!
Back in 2003 when I left my day job at Kodak they still made "TRI_X and Plus_X B&W film. You had to develop it yourself, or send it to Kodak. 90% developed it themselves, and printed it. --gary
Guthrie has lived a real Forrest Gump of a life. Love all these stories! Thanks, Otis!
Man, I appreciate your work and interviews. Guthrie Trapp is the real deal, and has lived this history of music. Thankful to see him on Otis' channel
🙏🏻🤍
My friend Lineman and I are addicted to these gems, "hello friends!" , gulf of Mexico, pirates cove, amazing hse. Xx
“I’ll wear black until they come up with something darker..”~GT
Need a a lot more of his stories. Fantastic!
Flora-Bama is legendary - talk about a dive bar
One of the songs that Mickey Newberry wrote: "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)", by The First Edition. Give it a listen if you haven't heard it.
These stories you bring to us are incredible, Otis. And great interview style. Thanks, Guthrie!
Too funny! Get these walls outta here. I recently got my first house and I'm totally planning on opening that sucker up.
Thanks, guys, and thanks for answering the question of why musicians always wear black. I’ve wondered about that for years.😊
Thanks fellas. .... Laid back type of vibes & entertaining as always.
Very much appreciated
Gove is a force of nature
I used to vacation in Gulf Shores Alabama in the late 90s and it was such a wonderful beautiful peaceful place to be.
Hey Otis. How about seeing if Roger Cook will do a an interview segment with you? Both he and Gove are Bass and Grass alumni and friends.
I've been trying to make that happen for a while now, so hopefully sometime soon. : )
idk why it always makes me smile when they call you Otis lol
@otisgibbs, any chance you could ever get Jim McGuire to sit down for an interview? His portrait and album cover work is so important to musical history of Nashville, yet he is so under appreciated.
Way cool Otis! Thanks!
musicians ARE artists....those not performing for the love from the heart but for the money are pop stars business people whatevers..... that is NOT to say artists dont desrve need should get paid as we should but to me thats the difference....being a pop star is fine if thats what ya want fame stupid amounts of money etc but thats not an evluation of artistic expression......rant over
Uno!
say Guyhrie can i borrow that hat lol wink
Love Gove! Please interview him if possible.
Guthrie - top banana!
This is so cool to hear these stories.
Lucky Guthrie
Great Interview. Guthrie is quite articulate and fascinating personal and family history. Appreciate learning about musicians like Gove Scrivenor, Hank Cochrane, Red Lane, Mickey Newberry, Chuck Cannon. Treasure trove again from Mr. Gibbs.
Your stories are the Best.
Saw guthrie at opry mills some months back. Thought he was my old friend josh.
Great stuff. And he is right on about Verlon. I encourage a potential session of story telling from him also. Hope to see more soon from Mr Trapp. Thanks for what you do sir.
❤❤❤
❤GT!
Thanks
I thought that was Terrence McKenna in the thumbnail.
Otis, you gotta get us a talk with Verlon. I’m sure there is some gold to mine there.
GT has some stories, buddy…
What a fascinating young life!
Larry Jon Wilson shout out!
