We will make a suggestion to our developers to make a tutorial in the future for how to use Composites specifically with the VFX tools. If you want to use it with the tools that come with ProFire 5K here is a basic breakdown: 1. Apply the composite masking or tracking tool 2.Mask (if applicable) then track the subject of your choice 3. Import the composite to the drop zone 4. @pixelfilmstudios I purchased the Transfire 4k and the ProFire 5k yesterday. For the ProFire 5k, the only thing that had the installer was the PFS - ProFire 5K zip file. I can see it in the effects panel when I open FCP. But I don't know where to place the other files that are mov. Do they suppose to go in a standard folder then added above a clip on the timeline then add one of the three composites from the PFS - ProFire 5K shown in the FCP effects panel? Or do the mov. files suppose to appear in the FCP effects panel? I tried following your installment video but got lost. I would appreciate it if you can help me with my ignorance on this
If you haven't already, we would highly recommend downloading and installing the PFS App. The current version of the PFS App is 2.7.0.73. store.pixelfilmstudios.com/pfs-app/ Regarding the .mov files, these are composites that aren't directly installed into FCP. When you download the composites through the PFS App they are installed to a PFS Composite folder in your Movies folder: Macintosh HD > Users > Your User > Movies > PFS Composite These composite videos can then be dragged manually from this location into your project timeline and blended over your media with blend modes and you can apply the effects presets on top of these composite videos for extra controls. ProFire 5K will install templates into both the Titles and Effects library. Please keep in mind the Trackable Mask tool preset no longer works and we will be removing it in the future. Final Cut Pro 11 offers an improved and free version of this tool now with the magnetic mask. In the PFS App you will see the ProFire 5K plugin in your My Products section. There is an arrow icon next to the plugin name. If you press this it will expand all of the downloads included in this pack. From there you can see what is installed and what type of file it is indicated by the icons under the file download names.
