Hi RaeLynn, thanks for this video, i learned more from this video today than i have in the past 4 years of trying to get fruit to grow on my 2 grape vines. Your vines looked the same as my current ones and now i am confident to prune them and hopefully will get grapes on next year's growth. many thanks from down under. Western Australia.
Thank you so much! I've had the same problem with finding information on this when using an nontraditional trellis. We have a cattle panel bent over and secured on the four corners with t posts. It's great but I was confused about how to prune the grapes even after watching and reading multiple videos and articles. You have been very helpful!
I think this is a great video. I just really wanted to know why you left two buds. Why you cut off the canes. The how you have done. But as a viewer I just wanted to know the why. As a new grape grower. :) thank you so much. This was very helpful.

This was really helpful. I planned to plant a grapevine next to my pergola and was wavering on my decision until I found this video. It is doable! Now I can have grapes and, also, a green cover over my pergola to shade the sitting area.
This was the video I've been searching for! We have grape vines growing up trees, cattle panel arches, and one large arbor. I have searched books, blogs and videos for some idea of how to prune these vines. It helps just to see you do it. Thanks!
