Sad because it makes logical sense to take a break. Sometimes, well wishers will counsel you to take a break or break down.
Idleness under any guise is destructive to the human spirit. When a ministry takes a well intended and properly thought out picnic, that is when a deacon for the first time notices the curves of an elder's wife in semi shorts.
Kind of seems like when you get enlisted in God's army, you either soldier on relentlessly or fall by the side once you take a moment to relax.
I guess when we get to heaven, we will get our deserved rest, because here, on this side of eternity, our adversary, the devil is a workaholic.

Instructive! We've seen on this side of eternity that a Christian can lose the victory the same time he got it, if he 'drops it' . Eternal Vigilance is the word.
