I din't 'go out'with or date anyone throughout my secondary and uni days. Graduated. Served. Started working and still no guy showed up. It wasn't easy, but I got to a point in my life when I told God that 'if marriage is not in Your plan for my life, I accept it, I will still love and serve You'. It wasn't giving up, I just entered my rest in God and truly submitted totally to His will that if He doesn't have marriage in the picture for me, I accept it.
Brethren, the following month, The Man showed up! Like I wasn't initially interested since I had believed God din't have it in His plans for me.
I made sure I heard God over 5 times, Who told me to go ahead that he was the one. We courted for almost 2 years. It's been 9 years in marriage and indeed I testify that the Lord sent Him as a gift to me, it could only have been God's doing.
It pays to wait on the Lord and fully trust Him with our lives totally, while waiting for anything😇😇😇

Waiting on Jesus for marriage in your 20s is relatively easy. But, try being in your late 30s, desiring children, and still being single! When you think that time is running out on you, and you're still trusting Christ for marriage it's extremely HARD! By then, everyone in your family and social circles view you as a confirmed spinster for life. But, I serve the God of the impossible, so I'll still wait on Him. Good talk ladies. God bless.

Never judge anyone or make anyone feel bad in their period of waiting. The fact that you got married early is by the mercies of God. If you got pregnant immediately after marriage, do not under estimate those who have to wait. Pray for them as they go through their waiting season.

Do not threaten God as you wait. Your situation doesn't change God on the throne. Don't say " I'll stop serving you if you don't do it". Rather lay it all at His feet, tell Him whether you do it or not, you remain my God. Such unconditional love move God more than your threat.

In waiting you don't Bombard God with request, you treat Him as your guest just like Waiters in big hotels there duty is to make there guest satisfied. When you actually decide to please God despite been broken or hurt from whatever challenge you will see the mighty hand of God. Luke 5vs1-7 after Peter toiled all night without any fish, Jesus asked to use his boat and he obliged even in the face of difficulty and when Jesus was done with the boat, He asked him to deep the net to catch some fish Peter obeyed and caught more than enough fishes. There is always a major breakthrough attached to obedience to God's will when all it's not well with you. God bless you guys TED.

Wow, welldone TED, I remember when I had an accident, sustained a fracture of the femur and I had to defer my admission, I was really angry said a lot of silly things, but my dad said something one day while complaining
" if you had died that day do you think you will be able to say anything to God?" And that statement broke me down, for more than 6month that I could not walk I never complained again, all I said was " let thy will be done" and I believe God was actually training my for the future.
And when I see people with similar problem that I survived while theirs got complicated, All I say is thank you Lord. He will never make us face a temptation we can't win.
Waiting period is the process of breaking and being remolded. The result is always beautiful at the end.

I had to listen to this after reading one of the comments on High Calling 3 which says, praying for Tobi Adepoju.
Like a sister commented here saying, "it's really easy to wait in your 20's but hard when in 30's especially in your late 30's and she actually spoke my mind.
Many atimes, i have gotten proposals from men but i tell you they are always from the wrong people; it's either is a serious person but an unbeliever, a divorcee, a separated person or a single that intends defrauding you of your hard-earned money and when you are sensible about it, they say you will be an supportive wife . One was even a separated person at a time and was so keen on the marriage issue and i told him to meet my pastor, he said your pastor ke, he wont agree, i said oh oh! He came back after some months again and said, "Titi, i am divorced, i hope that settles it now and we can start a relationship, get married and relocate together to U. S.". My response actually shocked him and was like, u can't even marry me when i am divorced already and i said yes, because the word of God doesnt support that.
I am not a saint neither was i ever wayward or loose in my 20's up till now but just been unfortunate with right men and i wonder till today how this God works, Kabio ko si! I know of ladies that were happening babes and had series of ungodly relationships back then and countless abortions but i tell you, they are happily married with wonderful kids and have even stopped bearing children. You even come across people that were not even birthed when you finished secondary school and get married happily at marriageable age and wonder what u av done wrong and where u av missed it.
One of the things that has kept me going is my past victories and testimonies in my life. Every achievement of mine through God had always been an early one, some of which i didnt even sweat, pray or fast for but the very one i have prayed and fasted for is still pending. Most of the time, i tell myself; "Titilope, God did the ones u didnt even pray or fast for, about eight years ago, if someone told u that u would be where u are today, u will doubt it, He is still on the throne and u are surely not forgotten".
For someone out there, Waiting on God can be really really hard but I tell u, i av been there and out of it, i am presently in it and i see myself getting out of it soonest but it is good to wait and trust in the Lord because it pays off. He is the God of the past, the present and the future, He works wonders, He is unquestionable, U and I are not forgotten nor forsaken, He will surely take all the glory and the time to favour u an I is now! SHALOM!

I’m really blessed. I can relate with everything you said it is not easy at all. I remembered the drama I performed yesterday after asking God why???? Shedded little tears and I was down to even said In Jesus name, after a while I started worshipping God before I knew it I said in Jesus name and a burden was lifted again and I started praying 🧎🏻♀️ I remembered Rev 12:11 and we are still believing for his faithfulness again as sis Tobi wrightfully said that we should draw strength from our past testimonies.Thanks Sisters more oil in your lamps in Jesus mighty name .

kai.. the key point for me is that it takes God's grace to wait upon him. I've had times in the past when it looked as though God was delaying whilst I waited, one thing that helped me was God's grace which is multiplied through the knowledge God and Christ. The good part of the story is that we have a good good father, He always comes through for us, ALWAYS!

Tobi you said it all, every trial is peculiar to everyone: I used to tell people they don't really love God when they complain about their issues until I begun to experience mine, then I knew how it feels like to trust God but in all, GRACE can see us through. I have loved Tobi since I watched GBEMI. You were refreshing and I see that here again so I believe that's the way you are. I was looking for something one time as well. I remembered I could tell the Holy Spirit about it as I've been taught over again. I can't remember if it was something very important but I needed to find it at the time. I didn't find it (so I believe my life didn't depend on it) but I became at peace after praying.
So yes, God is with us no matter the situation. We just need to be aware of Him.
