Gorgeous example of fuselage automotive design
I absolutely love these cars. About 25 years ago, was ALMOST able to pick one up. Was sold between the time I got off the phone with the owner, and the time I got there (was a pretty long drive to get there)
Unbelievably beautiful!!!! Love the old big cars!
I went to high school with a fellow who had one, it was his first car. Talk about a cruiser! Babes love it.
What an honor it would be to own this beauty!
EXCELLENT!
I've only seen one of these on the road . Many years ago as a kid in the late 70s. Very rare indeed!
Amazing!
Someone has one of these 300H Hurst addition chryslers right down the road about a mile from my house! It is sitting outside under a carport in a apartment complex in Beaverton Oregon. I worry that if those old apartments were to ever catch on fire due to some careless tenants it would be a goner!
My dream car
My Dream
Beast !!
Excellent vehichle
Westminster x Willow (in case anyone was wondering)
Does that wing make my ass look big? Lol.
Nice. Go big or go home ! Wasn't there a Hurst badge or decal on the front Fender?
No, only on the trunk lid.
The only Hurst badge was sitting on both sides of the fake hood scoop. None at fenders nor trunk lid. ;)
My uncle had one of these back in the day. SUPPOSEDLY he made a deal with a guy who restored cars(maybe even Chryslers specifically)to work for his tow company in his free time in exchange for restoration of the car. Guy stripped the whole thing down to the frame and did some treatment involving dipping it into acid to remove any rust and(more importantly)retreating the bare metal to prevent further rust from ever coming back(something that was never done). The story goes for the better part of a year,my uncle did his end if their deal while being told his car was being done. Then one day he recieved a call that the guys while business had gone under, permanently closed and to come pick up the pieces of his car before whatever date. When he showed up the car was in a bunch of boxes and the frame was never retreated after the acid dip and now completely re-rusted almost completely thru. I never saw the car again,I do remember the 440 sitting on a stand in his garage and sold for next to nothing later on. Idk how much of the restoration story was true and I grew older I learned that uncle had a victim complex that makes trump seem like an amateur, but I do have a few memories taking rides in it. I remember it having feature WAY ahead of their time like "hands free" changing the radio preset with a button on the floor. I always loved how the spoiler was integrated into the trunk and the way the hood was locked into place with factory those turnable "pin" system. Oh yea...u could fit 3 FULL SIZE SPARES IN THE TRUNK LOL
FYI these cars were unibody, there was no frame. There is a K member under the engine, but no full frame. It figures that YOU would throw a Trump insult in your comment.
Just a small guestion, is the tranny a yellow gold color like the car? I had a tranny that a friend sold me out of one of those 440 hurst cars that got wrecked in a road race ,3 speed automatic shift like a 4 speed, worth like 3ks today
No, the 727 transmission was not painted in color of the car.
They were all 1/4 panel.........
