Honestly, the Prequels didn’t deserve the bashing criticism that people gave them when they came out. They had a few flaws but they weren’t terrible.
This is purely my opinion as I love and grew up with the Prequels. I also love the Original Trilogy as well.

Episodes 1 and 2 are underrated especially. This movie be overrated actually even though it’s my favorite Star Wars movie. People like it for the wrong reasons. It only works cuz of the work established in 1 and 2 which people devalue
