To anyone coming down and has not been on the lake before and you are coming down yearly for a week or two or even just for a week one time. You really need to consider taking a trip with one of these guides. Tell them you want to learn the lake and techniques that will help you catch fish. It will be well worth the investment and cut your learning curve for sure. The best thing is these guys shoot straight and are some of the best. No I do not get paid to recommend these guys but get to witness how they are with clients. They also are always willing to help the locals with info. Great report as usual guys.
I was one of the ones fishing in front of you in those canals and said yall hurt my pride catching those fish behind me 😂 youre right in hindsight I needed to slow way down.
It would be really helpful if you would give a water temperature each time. It would also be good to mention whether or not there is a blockage in the canals. I would also like to hear something about Stick Marsh. If it is only that you haven't been.
Dan is spot on 62 degrees is the magic temperature for Topwater. Throw weightless flukes and flipping jigs with craw trailer in black blue at isolated cover and you will catch them. Punch hyacinths with 1.5oz weight for bigger fish and you will catch one. Try to fish a 4 day warming trend. Best of luck
Can ya catch specs out at Farm 13/Stick Marsh? I’m a local ( Orlando ) and have heard you can keep them but I haven’t seen or heard of anyone doing so. Help!!!!

Agreed you know what’s going on
Great advice! You’re right about the warming trend.
I liked that Dan talked about the ducks but I wish he went more in depth about his techniques for gettin em to decoy.
Great reply I will def talk to him about that and see if we can’t get that added.
Caught one small bass on a rebel pop-R
Great bait
