Crazy how this team didn’t atleast make it to the SB… I put them in the same category of teams 84 Dolphins, 98 Vikings as teams I feel should’ve won it all.

Now, those jerseys are one of my all time favorites . Idk what it was??? But the yellow lining outside and around the numbers and that dark Charger blue gave that Jersey a pop n shine thats made it unique to all others. N still my personal favorite till this day. Thank u. Just thought id share that.
This was the first year I started really paying attention to football, loved this team and was so bummed when they fired Marty Schottenheimer the next year. And hired Norv Turner 😅
I know you gotta have a good coach but, their input is kinda overrated. Like are you telling me if Don Shula coached the team, that they wouldn’t have dropped those passes? Or they wouldn’t have dropped that interception? Is the suggestion that Marty wasn’t coaching them on that stuff and was just fucking around at practice? Again I know you gotta have a good coach but at the end of the day it’s the players. Dumb decision to fire Marty.
I’ll never forget going to these games when I was a kid, my dad a SD native got season tickets so I got to witness history every home game and never experienced a loss…I still hold hope that one day the Bolts will be back in SD where they belong once the Spanos’ are finally out of the picture.

Yep. And notice now Marty Schottenheimer is not given any credit or mentioned in any way in this video. That's how classless the Chargers' organization is.
I was not even a year old...but looking back on that season I'm proud and wish I could have seen LT and the chargers do what they did that year. BOLT GANG⚡🏈
Reliving this still hurts. Next two opponents would've been: 1. Colts -- Chargers had their number (2005 they spoiled the Colts perfect win record, 2007 they intercepted Manning SIX times in one half, 2008 playoffs 8-8 Chargers upset Colts in OT) 2. Rex Grossman and the Bears
The #1 Offense of 2006 Folks. Ladanian Tomlinson MVP. It sucks there's no full games in HD on UA-cam besides the Playoff game no Charger fan wants to watch. I just love great football to watch recorded in offseasons; and these Chargers don't have uploads. The great running teams of 2000's are hard to appreciate.
I loved Lee Hacksaw Hamilton as the radio voice of the Bolts. But during this era, we had the best most exciting announcer/color commentator team in Josh Lewin & Hank Bauer.
The season goes that LT makes history we go 14-2 and just because the guy who intercepted the ball from Brady felt like running with it instead of going down to chew the clock we loss to the pats and then we cry because this was the only season the chargers could have won the super bowl.
Current 2021 Chargers are only missing a few pieces and I guarantee they're gonna be back to this form. Got the QB and other pieces in place. Need a couple more defensive stars and a dominant RB (doesn't even need to be LT level) and Superbowl here we come

this team was so good. 9 times out of ten that team wins a super bowl that year. we sadly live in the dimension that they just so happened to lose. the 06 chargers should.be more widely recognized as a historically great team that didn't make it. that was our super bowl year man. still waiting for a team to be so dominant like that one.
Crazy how this team didn’t atleast make it to the SB… I put them in the same category of teams 84 Dolphins, 98 Vikings as teams I feel should’ve won it all.
the new uniforms are FIRE!!!
Light blue jawn look phat
They should edit Norv Turner out of this video... Marty was the man for the job, Turner screwed up our team big time! Either way, 06' was one for the books! #BoltUp! 🔥⚡⚡⚡🔥
Give LT the rock and watch the wins come in
Now, those jerseys are one of my all time favorites .
Poor Marty had the worse playoff luck
I know you gotta have a good coach but, their input is kinda overrated. Like are you telling me if Don Shula coached the team, that they wouldn’t have dropped those passes? Or they wouldn’t have dropped that interception? Is the suggestion that Marty wasn’t coaching them on that stuff and was just fucking around at practice? Again I know you gotta have a good coach but at the end of the day it’s the players. Dumb decision to fire Marty.
Thank you chargers media
The season I started watching the NFL, and the reason I've been following the Chargers ever since.
marty schottenheimers playoff demons stayed with him for his entire HC NFL career, he just was cursed in the playoffs
Still have the jerseys. Cromartie, Castillo, Jammer, LT, Merriman, etc. ⚡⚡⚡
Fan since when I was born in 2007. Sent a letter to you guys and y’all gave me gifts
I’ll never forget going to these games when I was a kid, my dad a SD native got season tickets so I got to witness history every home game and never experienced a loss…I still hold hope that one day the Bolts will be back in SD where they belong once the Spanos’ are finally out of the picture.
I was 9 and this is the team that made me love football and the reason I’m a chargers fan to this day
Started watching football because of this team
The only time LT was ready AND healthy for a playoff run..
Believe first game was a shutout from Chargers D. Not sure , either year before but remembered first game of TOTAL Defense on a consistent basis..
2020 chargers greatly remind me of the 2006 chargers
I wish I were the age I am now to have been able to watch that season and remember everything. my dad remembers how awesome it was to be a Chargers fan that year. I remember watching a few games with him and each one was better than the next! Regardless, I’m a diehard Chargers fan thanks to my dad!
Still can’t believe they abandoned their fan base in San Diego.
funny having Dean and AJ Smith in this video..the same people who ruined this great team lol
War eagle Marcus McNeil was offensive rookie of the year that's rare
Yep. And notice now Marty Schottenheimer is not given any credit or mentioned in any way in this video. That's how classless the Chargers' organization is.
I was not even a year old...but looking back on that season I'm proud and wish I could have seen LT and the chargers do what they did that year. BOLT GANG⚡🏈
Man Rivers, LT, VJ, Parker, Floyd, Gates, McNeil, Dielman, Hardwick, Castillo, Igor, JC, Jamaal Will, Meriman, Phillips, Edwards, Cro, Jammer, Florence, Gregory
How we ain’t win a chip is mind boggling 🤔😔😭😭
people forget Marcus McNeil was almost offensive rookie of the year as a offensive lineman
Man....Staley really has me feelin good this yr. Feel like 21’ will be special
My madden team when I was lil. Dolphins fan born in Miami but the chargers especially this era❤️ forever they were a complete team
Chargers will return to San Diego one day.
I miss the 06 Chargers when players were all about the team
Looks like history is going to repeat itself. Except we're going for it all this time. ITS LIGHTS OUT 2022-2023!!! BOLT UP ⚡😎⚡
I miss those jerseys so much. Please bring those colors back. 😭😭😭😥
I miss those uniforms
The 2006 San Diego Chargers what an awesome team⚡️⚡️⚡️🌩
Im a packers fan and this still awesome!
Ty for remembering the San Diego chargers
The chargers are the best
I still have playoff PTSD.
Reliving this still hurts. Next two opponents would've been:
1. Colts -- Chargers had their number (2005 they spoiled the Colts perfect win record, 2007 they intercepted Manning SIX times in one half, 2008 playoffs 8-8 Chargers upset Colts in OT)
2. Rex Grossman and the Bears
Team Was Stacked Offense & Defense If Only Rivers Wouldn’t Had Gotten Injured
That wasn't the year Rivers got hurt. It was the next year when rivers tore his acl and played new england in the afc championship and lost 21-12
I completely understand if you’ve blocked it out but this was the year McCree happened
Giovanni Trejo don’t. Please don’t. That was my first heart break at 14.
Christopher Muller foot injury
The #1 Offense of 2006 Folks. Ladanian Tomlinson MVP. It sucks there's no full games in HD on UA-cam besides the Playoff game no Charger fan wants to watch. I just love great football to watch recorded in offseasons; and these Chargers don't have uploads. The great running teams of 2000's are hard to appreciate.
I loved Lee Hacksaw Hamilton as the radio voice of the Bolts. But during this era, we had the best most exciting announcer/color commentator team in Josh Lewin & Hank Bauer.
Those navy looking charger uniforms was nice 🔥
Those were the best ones honestly and I wish that they never ditched them.
P.S: Charger will return to San Diego one day
@@dreamcage1801people forget Marcus McNeil was almost offensive rookie of the year as a offensive lineman
I believe with every fiber of my being if they got past the pats. They would’ve brought San Diego A Chip. Man . Such a bittersweet season.
i wish i was old enough to witness that year, im 19 now tho. just wasnt into football like that yet ⚡️⚡️⚡️
This season was soo good had so many good moments they deserved the superbowl win but they beat themselves in the playoffs
I love it when the radio announcer yells “Touchdown San Diego!!!”. It brings me back memories.
The season goes that LT makes history we go 14-2 and just because the guy who intercepted the ball from Brady felt like running with it instead of going down to chew the clock we loss to the pats and then we cry because this was the only season the chargers could have won the super bowl.
I haven’t been to Qualcomm in years! I’ll have to visit this year!!!!
Eric Parker and his father were my high school wrestling coaches at Helix High in San Diego 2010/2011
The 2006 NFL Season was the Chargers best chance to win the Super Bowl while being the only NFL team in Southern California at the time!
Current 2021 Chargers are only missing a few pieces and I guarantee they're gonna be back to this form. Got the QB and other pieces in place. Need a couple more defensive stars and a dominant RB (doesn't even need to be LT level) and Superbowl here we come
