very nice Chuck ! got Chase to get the antenna built. Ape was great as well. I started winding toroid's in the 1980's . still mess them up from time to time. have to look up wind charts all the time. That bigger Mag wire better for FT8. I got that cordless rotary tool Chuck did video on. I love it. lots a stuff comes in the kit. and all packs in a small case. for that winder that way for 49:1 with cross over then 7 more puts the mag wire across from BNC works great . I have used the long lead of that cap to bridge the grounds together before . 73's

I had to re-wind my toroid, so it’s good he had extra magnet wire. I had to order some from Amazon. I’ve actually never finished mine. I got confused about how to solder the capacitor, got frustrated, set it down, and never returned to it. I found the instructions confusing. That was over a year ago - I should probably finish it, although I’ve acquired a couple of other EFHWs since then. It probably wouldn’t be confusing for most people, I’m just not particularly talented in that way.

I found shorting the capacitor strange, but it works. Thanks for the feedback and don't forget ther is links to videos to help.
