I like the sub voice better for Inumaki not because I prefer sub, but because the tone and pitch of his voice fits him so much better in sub. Someone who doesn't talk much, suddenly speaking a lot, not accounting for the backlash of Cursed Speech, and just having thrown up blood, would not have such a steady voice when shouting "Blast away" as forcefully as that.
Also, just now realising after watching this 10 times, Fushiguro reassures Nue before attacking Hanami in the Japanese dub, but just orders it to attack in the English dub.
Yeahhh, I totally agree. Just the way it's kinda' hoarse and sounds almost painful for him to speak feels like it makes a ton more sense. There's much more effort putting into the original in the way of it's considerations like that.
I just really disliked how the dub said "Run Away!" with two syllables instead of 3 like in Japanese. It would've been so easy: "Run-Ah-Way" would've matched "Ni-Ge-Ro" much better.
@@LeonEllisZ whole heartedly agree just ruins the entire effect of shot And when he shouts "stop" in sub it's one word but in dub he sounds like a child saying "stop it" because of the lip flaps

YES! I'm glad someone else said it. I was expecting three syllables to match the three frames that kinda zoom in a bit. The two syllable "Run Away" made me unreasonably upset. If everyone is wondering why Inumaki's voice is so deep for a young guy, its because Xander Mobius has a deep voice in general for anyone who plays Super Smash Brothers, he is the announcer and also Joker from Persona 5. Personally although he has a great voice over all, I feel someone like Brad Swaile (voice of Light Yagami in Death Note) would suit Inumaki more only cause although he's definitely not a young man anymore, his voice would suit a young guy like Inumaki and youd hear the power in his voice when he yells. Just a personal opinion but the dub isn't too bad, just would have another pic for the character is all
Also he is fucking seventeen Maybe they have been watching anime for too long But seventeen year olds already have the voice of an adult They won't have a squeaky voice forever
Sometimes it's not even the voice actors fault but the dub directors. In the "Run away" part, the director should've told the VA he needed to articulate there, but the VA probably didn't know and so didn't. Or maybe the director chose not to add the articulation
Studios often don't want to reanimate lip flaps so they try and get the English VA's to FIT the lip flaps of the original Japanese... Whcih is impossible when BLAST AWAY is 2 words English, and like one quick out of Japanese. Like how he had to say "Stop it" in English because if he just said "Stop" it wouldn't fit properly. The director for the VA's and the studio are the ones who are in charge of the quality control for the product. It can be VERY hit or miss for English which sucks. But IMO JJK has a perfect Eng dub. Pairs beautifully with the Japanese original dub! If Funimation was in charge of this.. You'd have a 55yr old sounding Yuji, Chris Sabat using his regular shitty voice for Gojo, the old teacher dude, principal, Geto, Aoi, Jogo.. And then a plethora of just GARBAGE VA's that don't fit at ALL the voices. You'd have My Hero Academia Eng dub quality.. One of the absolute WORST dubs for such an amazing Anime. Funimation needs to find ACTUAL talent now.
As someone who usually watches dub and doesn't really like sub vs dub wars, I personally think inumaki's sub voice suits him more. Of course you are still allowed to like that dub.
@@eclipseXyZseriously why are people that bothered by it. Some people have deeper voices, just because you don’t sound cool doesn’t mean everyone else also doesn’t.
Damn, between Inumaki and Joker, Xander Mobus is truly always stuck with the characters with the fewest lines 😂 he does a great job here, though I kiiiiinda prefer the sub version just because Inumaki’s voice sounds more like a teenager’s
The dub sounds more deep and cool than the sub, but there's something about Inumaki's japanese voice that I prefer to the English dubbed, I think it's because his sub voice sounds more like how he looks. His Japanese voice sounds more shy/quiet, it felt like when he used his cursed words he was showing a very different side to him, whereas his English voice sounds the same. I have no idea if anybody gets what I mean but that's the best way I can describe it.
I love how the sub sounds more chill when he uses cursed speech just like when he normally uses the ingredients to speak and for dub it's chill for the ingredients and absolutely aggressive for the cursed speech
I know everyone is talking about the voice but when he was petting the dog was adorable and him wagging his tail was extra cute too along with its sounds. Too cute! 😊
You should hear dub Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun. They completely changed Tsukasa’s character and made him like a typical basic American villain, (plus he sounds older than he’s supper to) vs his unique villain personality. (He’s super happy and stuff but they made him all dark and menacing and took away all his joy in dub :// completely changed the character) and Kou is 14 but his voice actor..😭 look up Kou Minamoto dub moments and you’ll see what I mean💀💀 Also sorry if I spammed I just wanted to share for some reason😂it seemed like the same topic of wrong older voice for characters
Sub Inumaki is that quiet kid that everyone's cool with but are secretly afraid of while dub Inumaki is just that weird quiet kid. Sub Inumaki all the way!
In honesty, i think the dubbed people wanted his Voice to be bolder when he speaks in his cursed speech, but As a person who watched the whole Dubber version I really liked all the voices and how well they showed their emotions in it.
I prefer the sub, mainly because the voice actor has a very clear idea on how to alter how he sounds in different scenarios. When his "stop" got cut mid-way, it was almost cracking and very strained - which was reflected in the fact that his vocal cords were damaged. I don't know the appropriate words to describe everything else but wow. It is just perfect
I love his dub voice, Xander Mobus is an amazing voice actor too. I just think he needs better direction for his lines because some of them don't really fit.
i love the dub tbh, his voice just sounds so much more intimidating and the sound effects sound better to me. also i subbed man, i hope you to get 500 in no time :D
Same but with both languages lol. I can't decide, I watched it in English Dub so I loved the dubbed version however for his voice I think I am leaning more towards his Japanese voice more.
Oh damn.. I can't believe so many people actually appreciate DUB. Glad people are realizing its not as bad as they say. I watch i prefer dub bc i can watch it in 1.5 and i rewatch epic fight moments in sub on UA-cam.
@@RxlredE As I said in the comment section of another video people just want to feel special just because they can read subtitles, they talk about the sub being great (which would be the case most of the time since it was original made in Japanese), but they keep shitting on dub for now reasons and keep trying to make the dubbed version of anime seem much more terrible than it actually is... Dub watchers have no problem whether someone prefers dub, sub, or both, but a majority of the sub watcher seems to always find some sort of problem with the dub of any anime (no matter how good the voice acting is), and are always whining and bitching about the voice not matching the character, or speech sounding weird or some other random crap.

I like to think inumaki has the corpse husband issue in English lmfao.
His curse rips his vocal chords now he just sounds old asf.
@@GeekedOutNeckbeard ooo yeah, I mean he can't rlly speak bc he could say the wrong thing and something bad happens but yea I'm probably going to think that now lmfao
I agree! I hate that I don’t speak Japanese cause I really like the sub and I would like to not have to read that whole time and just appreciate the voice
@@GeekedOutNeckbeard trueee, I hate to see them both in pain 😫
@@Jessxmess ikr😫
Inumaki: don't move,stop,run away,sleep
Yuta: D I E
i agree that in Japanese his voices sounds more “hypnotic”, almost soothing whereas the dub sounds more threatening & ominous. i like both versions tho
2:31 Team Rocket be like
“TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN” ahh similarity💀💀💀
If everyone is wondering why Inumaki's voice is so deep for a young guy, its because Xander Mobius has a deep voice in general for anyone who plays Super Smash Brothers, he is the announcer and also Joker from Persona 5.
Personally although he has a great voice over all, I feel someone like Brad Swaile (voice of Light Yagami in Death Note) would suit Inumaki more only cause although he's definitely not a young man anymore, his voice would suit a young guy like Inumaki and youd hear the power in his voice when he yells. Just a personal opinion but the dub isn't too bad, just would have another pic for the character is all
Yeah, Brad swaile would probably suit him more
@@eclipseXyZ Yeah, just seems to be the kinda guy to get the character just right ya know? Glad you agree too
Also he is fucking seventeen
Maybe they have been watching anime for too long
But seventeen year olds already have the voice of an adult
They won't have a squeaky voice forever
istg, original voices are beyond perfect compared to dub.

Overall I prefer the sub BUT DAMN THAT FIRST DON’T MOVE IN THE DUB WAS SO POWERFUL
I know right. This dub is one of the best in my opinion
The dubs okay but in most cases i feel like hes taking too fast
Agreed
Sometimes it's not even the voice actors fault but the dub directors. In the "Run away" part, the director should've told the VA he needed to articulate there, but the VA probably didn't know and so didn't. Or maybe the director chose not to add the articulation
@@minortatu3311 Yeah the run away part was all said in 1 second while in the japaense he said it in 3 syllables, which messed up the lip sync
@@GeekedOutNeckbeard I do enjoy all might A LOT in the hero aca dub. Everyone else mostly sucks though.
As someone who usually watches dub and doesn't really like sub vs dub wars, I personally think inumaki's sub voice suits him more. Of course you are still allowed to like that dub.
0:09 I love how he talks in dub
0:04 I can’t unhear “shit yourself”
Inumaki got the most grown ass voice-
Well he's like 17, almost an adult so it makes sense
@@eclipseXyZseriously why are people that bothered by it. Some people have deeper voices, just because you don’t sound cool doesn’t mean everyone else also doesn’t.
1:11 was expecting it to be Run-a-way
Same! I hated how in the dub he said it quickly instead of in 3 syllables
@@eclipseXyZConsidering that they’re about to get crushed… it makes more sense to say it quickly
2:33 a gain a-way xd
Damn, between Inumaki and Joker, Xander Mobus is truly always stuck with the characters with the fewest lines 😂 he does a great job here, though I kiiiiinda prefer the sub version just because Inumaki’s voice sounds more like a teenager’s
@@Charlotte-vf8ij and that guy who wanted to tune gojo into a stand or something 😊
“Shit yourself!”
Crazy how Miwa really says "Hi, useless Miwa here!" fr
The dub sounds more deep and cool than the sub, but there's something about Inumaki's japanese voice that I prefer to the English dubbed, I think it's because his sub voice sounds more like how he looks. His Japanese voice sounds more shy/quiet, it felt like when he used his cursed words he was showing a very different side to him, whereas his English voice sounds the same.
I have no idea if anybody gets what I mean but that's the best way I can describe it.
Yeah that makes sense
Look at how they did my boy😭
i love inumaki (fav)
He's a pretty good character
“Shit yourself” 💀
Everyone gangsta until he says "sh1t yourself"
I love these comparison type videos. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feedback!
The "don't move" at the first part of the video, what i heard was a godly voice, idk why
Moms when they are whopping you and move and you flail around from the pain: 1:33
Too cute! 😊
The fact that Xander Mobus voices both Todo and Inumaki in the dub but can sound so different amazes me
They done made Toge's dub voice sound like a 30 year old dad
You should hear dub Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun. They completely changed Tsukasa’s character and made him like a typical basic American villain, (plus he sounds older than he’s supper to) vs his unique villain personality. (He’s super happy and stuff but they made him all dark and menacing and took away all his joy in dub :// completely changed the character) and Kou is 14 but his voice actor..😭 look up Kou Minamoto dub moments and you’ll see what I mean💀💀
Also sorry if I spammed I just wanted to share for some reason😂it seemed like the same topic of wrong older voice for characters
What's funny is his Japanese voice actor is actually 30 years old meanwhile the English one is 29.
@@Ayveh WHAT
Redundant comment.
Imagine using his curse speech on a riceball ingredients and turn into a food
“How to make people get goosebumps for 2 minutes and 43 seconds straight”
Inumaki's voice in dub is actually good.
I honestly like the dub because it adds the echo effect to his voice and it makes more of an impact of his voice being a power.
Yeah, I like his voice having that effect. Thanks for watching, and if you enjoyed subscribe for more videos like these! We're close to 500

Same.
AAAA THE “DONT MOVE” IN DUB GIVES ME CHILLSS 😩😩💖
I prefer the sub, mainly because the voice actor has a very clear idea on how to alter how he sounds in different scenarios. When his "stop" got cut mid-way, it was almost cracking and very strained - which was reflected in the fact that his vocal cords were damaged. I don't know the appropriate words to describe everything else but wow. It is just perfect
I can't believe it. I finally found a dub that I like. Both sound awesome!
Yeah they're both great, what do you think of Gojo Satoru's dub?
@@eclipseXyZ Deeper voice but the mannerisms are still sly 😁
I love his dub voice, Xander Mobus is an amazing voice actor too. I just think he needs better direction for his lines because some of them don't really fit.
i love the dub tbh, his voice just sounds so much more intimidating and the sound effects sound better to me. also i subbed man, i hope you to get 500 in no time :D
Inumaki proved that words can be hurtful... literally.
They give me two different vibes
The sub has the mysterious nature of a curse
While the dub has the power of a curse
Yeah, it's interesting to see these type of differences. Subscribe for more sub vs dub videos, we'd really appreciate it
His voice is deeper than I expected 😭 but it's not bad. Fushiguro still has the best voice imo for dub
This actually makes me want to watch dub tbh
They both sound awesome, but the dub makes me feel some type of way(a good way tho)
Yeah
Xander Modus will do that to you
Same but with both languages lol. I can't decide, I watched it in English Dub so I loved the dubbed version however for his voice I think I am leaning more towards his Japanese voice more.
@@Ayveh I get you cuz his sub voice is more consistent, I noticed that in dub the range that his voice is in is different
bro hit em with the "mustard leaf"

The Dubbed voice is kinda Goofy sounding for his Age and Facial Characteristics ! Personally I'd prefer the Subbed voice !
Agree I like the dub but I think they gave inumaki kinda a goofy when it came to words like blast away. And stop it
Oh damn.. I can't believe so many people actually appreciate DUB. Glad people are realizing its not as bad as they say. I watch i prefer dub bc i can watch it in 1.5 and i rewatch epic fight moments in sub on UA-cam.
Yeah the constant hate on sub isnt really fair
@@eclipseXyZ you mean dub*
@@Koji-Alistair Everytime I watch anime I watch it in sub then if I end up liking the show I’ll watch it in dub and every time theres always scenes where i prefer dub and some part where I prefer sub, Sub elitist never like to admit that the dub voices are good even though they know they are, but i got to admit they kinda failed with Toge i see his voice actor working better with someone like Todd Haberkorn

In the dub he should've whispered (except for the blast away obviously), the normal voice sounds way too strong to fit someone like Inumaki who doesn't talk much.
wow dub voice unexpectedly sounds immersive
"Make it clap🗣️"
I think the onigiri fillings vocabulary for Inumaki means:
Shake | Salmon = Affirm, Agree
Okaka | Fish/Bonito flakes = Disagree, deny
Konbu/Kombu | Kelp = Greeting
Takana | (Pickled) Mustard Leaf = Concern, Worry
Sujiko | (Salted) Salmon Cod Roe = to grab attention: "Hey, look here"
Ikura/Igura = expletive
Mentaiko = expletive
Tuna = Focus
Tuna Tuna = look
Tuna Mayo = talk
On a different note. I was going with that kelp was for either help or fuck... might be just me there though. lol

He could've been the most powerful character if it wasn't any side effect on the curse speech.
