Keep at it. It didn't come naturally to me either. It's just a lot of trial and error until you land on the numbers that make it work, but once you do you'll have a template that you can use over and over.
You'll have to adjust the top and bottom margins slightly. Try it with 48 pt for the top margin and 60 pt for the bottom margin. That'll give you six rows with 12 pt alleys, aka space between the rows. You may also want to make the left and right margins 48 pts to match.
