Other hits from Ben’s book: his story started in 1815 , when ss3 happens. The stepmother of Sophie told exactly the same things about marriage of her daughter than Cressida mother (that they cut pension if she is not married this season. You can find this in the begin of her book, just before mascarade)

Completely agree on Jess’s “excuse” on skipping especially calling him boring if he marries??? Like this is a romance adaptation from a Historical Romance genre that’s the damn point.
Anyway Benedict HAS to be the lead like I take no other excuses NOW is the perfect time to do this before we lose the essence of his character. I also need my girl Sophie Beckett.
I'm passionate about Eloise, which is why I want her season held off as long as possible.
I honestly don't care about Eloise's season. The plot of her book sounds awful. I'm just looking forward to Benedict and Francesca's seasons.
Her book is awful. I know the show will try to fix it, but I'd rather have her with Theo, Cressida, Marina, John the coachman --
Eloise's book is one of my favorites.

Chris Fulton is so hot tho! The story is crap but he’s so sexy ❤️🔥 I’m most excited about Benophie, so we better have a masked ball at the end of the season! I’m so charmed by Fran and John that I don’t mind holding off on her official story.
Eloise story is different and more mature. May be because his kids play important role in storyline. It’s not my favorite story in series, but I like it and read with pleasure.
I think it’ll be great and spicy in show (there are several very hot scene in books). But I prefer to see Ben at first, Eloise is not ready for marriage. She is even more feminist in show than in book. I

The fact that Jess says that Benedict will become a tired and boring old man shows that she doesn't know the character at all, much less the story she's working on. Boring and tiring was what she did with the story of Colin and Penélope, she is very pretentious in her interviews. I'm very worried about how Sophie will be written, she is such a strong, captivating and out-of-the-ordinary character, the best addition without a doubt. To be honest, if it's not Benedict it will be disrespectful to the fans and to Luke T. and I really hope he leaves the show. It's no longer enough to wait two years for each season with only 8 episodes, this show is so tiring sometimes. I’m agree : This is not respect for the viewer. 8 episodes in 2 years and they are less than an hour! If Ben is not next, then we have to wait 4-5 years again? I hope he has other projects and leave show if he is not next(I’m bot follow his life as actor, so don’t know about his career ) . The production will see direct impact to rating without our dear Ben

i'm also annoyed that they mentioned how benedict was basically doing all the viscount stuff while kanthony was on their honeymoon, but we haven't gotten a real glimpse so far into how that affected him or his feelings about art school/anthony paying to get him in/struggling with not feeling like he's good enough (besides a very small bit in s2 and a brief scene of him with anthony and colin talking about him being in charge while a + k were away in ep 1 of s3)
I’m genuinely convinced he’s going to lead s4…other than the fact that they actually have nothing else to do with him and all the hints that tell us s4 is going to benophie, I also think that Eloise is not ready for marriage nor does she want to be (I also believe they’ll use benophie marriage as the catalyst of her deciding to get married since she cannot feel truly alone If Benedict is still there) and then as for Francesca her story requires more setting up and I believe we’ll see her married to John for at least s4 (maybe even s5) especially since she’s married to him for 2 years before he dies and when he does die she’s supposed to leave for a couple years and then decide she’s ready to get married again which is where Micheal comes in
It should be him! The actor doesn’t become younger and we cannot wait again 4-5 years for 8 episodes less than one hour. I don’t think, that show could keep rating for ss5 and 6 ( for Eloise and Francesca story), because the delay of production is so so longue and their ss will be in 10 years!!!! I love all siblings, but production should be improved. Why did they start to write plot just now and not after end of ss2?
And in summary, Luke Thompson is a fantastic actor and currently wasted with how little he's been given. Anyone who has seen him in either of his plays in the last 12 months will tell you, he can act. It's so fustrating to see him underutilised.
Also he's the only person struggling to say anything about his characters storyline at the 14th Feb event (though we now know he didn't have much to speak about storywise, and what he did say was covered by a line in 1 scene) but he was also the only one being warned spoilers. Screams he's season 4, but they cant say so suspect nothing will be said until the episodes air on 13th and we get the clues he's S4 lead. The whole cast know but no one dares say, those NDAs are scary
I pretty much agree with all of this. I was so annoyed when they had him quit art school. He could have continued on to improve more. The guy who told him about Anthony said it in the context of how much he'd improved. He'd learned from the artist/model that the female artists couldn't attend the lectures unless they posed nude. I would have liked to see him become important enough in the school to challenge and possibly overturn that. (I'm not saying to fall in love with Tessa, obviously.) Instead, this is what they do. It would be insulting to push Benedict's season off again.
I agree with this. I just want to add that, for me personally, I think they can still save that by showing us that Sofie inspires Benedict to draw and paint again. I think that would be such a lovely twist. It makes sense that he lost his passion for art after learning how he got that chance in the first place, but it also makes sense for him to find that passion again. It's very common for artists to have those pauses in creating art, and finding inspiration in his love for/with Sofie would be the best thing they could do for them both.
@@wkawksms_dd No, I am glad he turned it down. Nepobabies need to earn their place. This is not so different than Kanye West and Kim throwing North in the Lion King to perform just recently. While Benedict has talent, he wasn't accepted on the account of his talent. He should ply again but legitimately enter this time through his talent and hard work

For real! As this video stated so well, it indicates that she does not understand the romance genre, especially Bridgerton. Some of the steamiest and passionate interactions occur after marriage. What a thing to say.

Just be warned Francesca’s book is 10x spicier than all of the rest. If you’re not comfortable with certain scenes, be prepared to flip through 75% of the book
I really like your point about Benedict's season opening up the whole Bridgerton world. It is essential for Elosie and Francesca's seasons. The producers would not be following Eloise storyline like in the book. She is rebellious in the show and she needs a much more open society for her romance. She might even pursue her ambitions.
I'm glad to see someone shares my opinion on the show runner. I hope they do much better for Benedict's season, as I fear it's already too late to save Polin.
Your fears with the new showrunner is so real. Aside from (I'm sorry) a jarringly different vibe with the characters, costumes, flow, camerawork, etc of the show, her own vibe is just off. It gives very cooperate if that makes sense.
It also doesn't bode well for the longevity of any project when the OG creators/team start leaving early on😬
I think they are testing out things because I think they have written themselves into a corner with regards to both Eloise and Benedict. Because I think they way Jess has spoken in some interviews she is willing to retool stories which means Philip and Sophie could be out if the side stories this season don't go down well.
Because outside Will Mondrich's story being to show how the ton is to people without enough money, title or clout can be treated (something that technically Benedict shares) I can't see the point of the storyline. Benedict's new gf - I can't see the point of her as she is obviously not Sophie's stepmother, outside her possibly dying in the later half of the season and letting Benedict inherit her estate so he'd have money of his own, so he'd be on a similar footing to his older brother money wise and his younger one if Polin at the end of the season results in a pregnancy. But that would mean he'd be truly self sufficient and some of the stuff with Sophie in the book would the window.
As for the Cressida thing some of it I don't get outside the idea to lay the ground work for Cressida is gay, desperate to get out her parents thumb while laying the ground work for Eloise to experiment.
I agree that the show has some problems this season with the new show runner, I do enjoy this season the most though despite that - probably I'm just simply a friends-to-lovers girlie and I'm also a fan of Nicola Coughlan. I also am a bit of Benedict girlie and was really disappointed in his storyline (or lack-there-of) so far this season, I'll reserve final judgement after Part 2 though.
Francesca is my favourite book story, but that story needs time to develop to have it's true potential. I want Benedict next, then Eloise, then Francesca - just go in the natural order from there and write the show right to suit that. 🤷♀️
Like at least give Benedict the scenes of him trying art again and we can actually feel for him and not him bouncing around and all pf a sudden another love interest drops in his lap and boom Sophie

Since i found out that Araminta is Lady Cowper's first name, I thought that Cressida could be a mix of Rosamund and Posy
Also some other hints I noticed is that in the first episode Cressida tells Eloise that she used to have a friend when she was little (in the book Posy and Sophie got along well as kids). In another scene when Eloise visits Cressida's home, Cressida was shocked bc she never had a friend call to her house before (maybe bc her parents were trying to hide Sophie from society just like Araminta in the book), also in that scene, i didn't saw not even one maid and Lady Cowper made it clear earlier that they're struggling financially

I’ve always thought Ben would be season 4 (at least since it was announced that Polin would be season3) mostly because Eloise and Fran’s timeline in the books are so close together that I think it would have to push Ben’s season out another 2 seasons if it wasn’t the next one.
I hope also. It should be him. I think if not be Ben, production will have huge negative impact from Benophie stan, even with decrese rating . Don’t forget if it’s not Ben, we need to wait 4-5 years!! It’s too longue,

to add to the useless-ness of his arc thus far, it's not even so much about seeing his love story but to also know his inner workings, what makes him happy, what makes him sad, what makes him angry. like yes we see his personality but like there's no depth to the writing of his scenes at all!! the reason benedict only works is how outstanding LT is in his performance with what little he's given.
jess brownell would 100% also be the showrunner to try and girl-bossify sophie which is.....
it seems that poeple forget that Benedict gave up not only art school but art in general last season, to everyone saying that Benedict is OBvIoUsLy not next because he's barely on screen, he is already where he needs to be, and of course Eloise is more on the spotlight now, she is Penelope's best friend. I have zero faith in Jess Brownell, this season has been such a downgrade so far but i have no doubt that Benedict is next.

Benetic's story is also my favorite from the books! I HOPE his story is next, and I hope they won't mess it up.

I think what's also worth mentioning is that there are many articles about Benedict that suggest him as a possible lead of S4 and big publications are also growing tired of the boring ass plot they gave our boy this season
Why would anyone thing season 3 would be about Benedict? When season 3 ended with the reveal, and Benedict’s storyline was more minor than Penelope’s and Colin’s in season 2?
My most important double about gender of Sophie… they could not change her gender 😢… the queer story could be with other characters, Cressida for example… please keeep our dear Sophie

I really disliked Benedicts story and "arc" this season but after watching your video and you pointing out all the little details that basically show the preparation for Benedicts season, I ldislike Benedicts story this season less. I still dislike it. They could´ve executed both his bisexuality and his loneliness & lost of passion for art much better, but hey at least I now know about these little details. Thanks ^^
I sorta think they are trying to get Francesca married off to her 1st husband. I don't think she is not season 4 lead. I sorta think we might get an Eloise And Benedict!! Your points are very good, but since they are in the same area of the country and Eloise's book is almost 100% in country which might be a bit boring for an entire season. Also, Colin is thinking E is LW because she has been writing Sir Phillip.
