Nobody's posted the lyrics yet, so here they are: Keep the peace, Keep the peace, Bounce those ruffians out of here, Bounce those scallywags on their ear! Keep the peace. Keep the peace! With a tavern full of raucous men, You don't know where and you don't know when, A hairy hand lands on your cheek, Oh, Kero, keep the peace! Down on your luck, raggedy and stuck, In a town that's murderous, dark, and drab, A job in a tavern can't be all that bad. But watch your step, or you'll catch your death. As the sound rings out of a drunken mob, You'll have to bear down and do your job! Keep the peace, keep the peace, Bounce those ruffians out of here, Bounce those scallywags on their ear! Keep the peace. Keep the peace! With a tavern full of raucous men, You don't know where and you don't know when, A hairy hand lands on your cheek, Oh, Kero, keep the peace! A wild kinda life Craving food for a knife But you're no worse off than you were at home Left in the kitchen with bread and bone And the pay's pretty fair, so you'll have to grin and bear, Grab the money, just kick and run, You'll have a sore head but you'll have some fun! Pour the liquor and serve the mead You're better off here than on the street! On a drunken night, men are looking for a fight They talk to themselves, mumble and groan, Some of those devils, better leave alone A chair flies by, and up goes a cry In a mass of bodies they tumble and roar, Make your way to the open door And one by one, fling em high and neat Till the whole congregation's lying in the street! Kero, keep the peace! Oh, Kero, keep the peace!
"In a mass of bodies they tumble and roar Make your way to the open door And one by one, fling 'em high and neat Till the whole congregation's lying in the street!" Sounds like an off day at the lion house in a zoo.
I've always loved that Dawn is the first to realize Buffy is singing about being brought back. And Giles' look is one of "this is what I was afraid of this". Willow's dawning horror as she backs away slowly from what she's done is perfect emoting in this scene

@ARP7777777 Well, again, I must thank you. Music like this is good to play D&D and other RPGs with. It really helps with the atmosphere. I imagine my players will like this, seeing as we've been listening to pretty much just Blind Guardian and Battlelore for a long time now.
@ARP7777777 That picture of the Dwarf tackling the guy in the tavern is from the rulebook for Pathfinder, which is a version of Dungeons and Dragons. I assumed that since you had the picture from the book that you knew what it was. In any case, thanks for uploading this video, it's a great song!

no :) for "The Leslac Version" Tarma and Kethry had ridden into viden town and were trying to get lodgings and food and the drunk town lord came in trying to get money from the innkeep lol :)
@@EyeOfEld Thanks to your comments I got into Thieves' World, because I couldn't resist looking up what you were talking about. I've collected books 3, 4, 5 and 9 so far :) Thanks ^^ Edit: can I start reading in one of the books I've got so far or should I start at book 1 when I've got that one?
@@TreespeakerOfTheLand They are anthologies, so you can start at any place, but some authors have their own story threads which flow through multiple books so it might be a bit confusing at first. I actually started with Face of Chaos, but it was pretty dark. Then again, the whole series is fairly dark. It has been a while since I read them and am sadly away from my book collection, but 3 should be a fairly decent starting place. You might feel like a few characters are missing proper introductions, but it shouldn't be too bad.

THEY START SINGING KEROWYN'S RIDE AT THE END OMG
heh yeah they did
the singer is Meg Davis :) and this is one of my favorite tunes from this album. i believe the entire album is sung by Meg Davis :)
Good theme song for the City Watch of Ankh-Morpork!
More work by Meg Davis! Excellent!
Corinne the Chaotic Good Paladin: You misheard "A wild kinda life, craving food for a knife".......it's actually "trading food for a knife."

This really makes me want to kick off a bar fight in my D&D game!
Haha, nice picture from Pathfinder. I'm gonna play some of Mercedes Lackey's music for my game group next time I run a session.
It IS Kerowyn's Ride at the end! I was just wondering. Thanks Multifantasydreamer.

meg davis on vocals
I thought it was Tarma who got the temp job as tavern peacekeeper (and ended up killing the local lord with a broom)
that's a maybe, but right before she became the captain of the skybolts kero drew her sword on a drunk guard while she was a bouncer

@ARP7777777 Indeed
Does anyone know where I can find the lyrics to this?
From what´i have been told, Meg Davies sings this...
also try Dragon Force lots of good extreme power metal with a fantasy theme
Where did you find the picture at 0:22?
heh, I could hear this in the Vulgar Unicorn. ;) heh, DUCK, dang flying chairs...
Eh, that place isn't much rowdy, from what I recall, since everyone is trying hard not to be noticed there. Still, nice to see a fellow TW fan.
