@sakumon16 it isn't just foreshadowing. A good show vs a GREAT show will have foreshadowing that feels like something we should've seen coming. Like the red wedding in game of thrones. It felt like such a shock, but thanks to hindsight we can see all the moments that led up to it. This show does that really well too. Lois jumping off a building to find out the truth felt like a shock, but it shouldn't have because the way she acted before indicates that's something she would do. And it's something she's done since. Man i love good writing.

I think it's a genius writing choice to have the general to be familiar with Clark's face considering how amateur he is in the superhero business. As Superman, he did not have a distinctive facade that made people differentiate between superman and Clark so people who saw superman would be inclined to be suspicious of Clark
And realizing it the second he sees his face. He knows who he is. It’s when the shop comes out of the ground that confirms his theory. That Clark Kent is Superman. The Alien
I find it really really funny how this was not only one of the most theorized and obvious setups ever, based on Superman's rogues gallery including Sam Lane, or the General's character being one-for-one with Sam Lane, and Lois' dad traditionally being a 4-star general, but also the fact that all conventional storytelling logic pointed to the General being Lois' dad in this cartoon...and some people STILL didn't see this coming.
My original theory was he was Eiling
to be honest we have the same theory as everyone else since past series barley talk of lois father except that he's a military man.

Finally, confirmation that Sam Lane is the general who has been after Superman. It was hinted for a while, and now things have gotten awkward for Clark because of this revelation. It also doesn't help that Martha Kent doesn't like Sam Lane. Lois already has a complicated relationship with her dad, and it only gets more complicated when she finds out that Sam is the general.

According to TV Tropes, General Samuel "Sam" Lane likely hasn't figured it out yet whether or not Clark and Superman are one and the same, but he has his suspicions 😰, and that he doesn't seem to like him (Clark) regardless 😥😓.
Even if he wasn't Superman he'd still hate him just cause he's dating his daughter.

They focus on the superheroes personal life just as much as their heroics. This is what makes the show stand out from other DC versions.
I'd argue it focused more on the private lif part than the superherping part and I like that.

This is why the Injustice version of Superman just doesnt work. The Kents raised Clark way too well for him to just turn evil after "one bad day". One bad days only work for Joker backstories (bad life from the beginning and they just keep getting pushed down at every turn, then they just snap one day) or Batman archetypes (intense trauma from childhood). The entire point of Superman is that he's a good farm kid from the heart, thanks to the kents. Superman Red Son works as an evil superman though, since he got raised that way
Now just need general zod , fiona ant that muscle guy and finally bruce wayne batman.

I know this is the story of a younger superman but i kind of want batman to be like 10 years older than him in this universe. Not that there is anything wrong with young emo rob bat batting bat but i always love a straight man comedy duo and old bruce from batman beyond was peek. Leverage that maturity to contrast with superman’s optimism, the cynic wall slowly giving way as bruce realizes Kent can actually backup his lofty ideals.

I wish Mr Kent shoot Mr Lane in the end of this episode Loise is devastated that her dad dead the kents are mad at Lois for inviting her dad who was a crazy general trying to kill their son to their house for Thanksgiving and Clark is made at both Loise and Jimmy for not showing him that hologram of all of his double gangers going bad and sending him on a wild goos3 chase they take their separate ways but make up and reconcile in season two when Loise trys to find out what her dad was up to.
Because this episode should have ended with consequences and more drama it ended to smoothly.
Why this show is not dubed in Italian Language. Its so Very Funny 😂😂😂

White characters are more often race bent in media since the characters being white never tends to matter to their character. Often, white characters are treated as a "default," and if they aren't white, it's for a reason and ties into their portrayal. Generally, most people may race bend a character if their race didn't matter in the first place to show better representation and allow for POC voice actors to have better opportunities in the industry while still writing the character the same. The reason most characters aren't race bent into being white is because there isn't a lack of white rep and characters who weren't white were often written as such for a reason, whatever that reason may be, so changing their race at all wouldn't be faithful to their character. Unlike characters of color, the excuse of wanting more representation for white people will fall flat when a majority of media that we tend to consume has a plethora of diverse white characters everywhere, even now. It's a sorta nuanced issue that's still ongoing and I'm admittedly not the most educated, but that's probably why characters who are POC usually don't get changed while white characters do.
