Howard I have been working at the harmonica for 2 years. I am a u blocker, but working hard to get the pucker. Today watching this video and with puckering I start getting bends. Good bends. I have a lot to learn, but it is all fun. Thanks for the lesson on bending.
Love your cross harp & bending those notes!!! I love playing my harmonica's too!!! You truly are amazing, Howard Levy!!! I've been blowin' my harmonica's for 46 plus years... I loved my harmonica!!! Velva Hot Lips on Harmonica!!! Santa Fe, N. Mexico 8-13-16
Thank you Howard. I appreciate your detailed step wise lessons. No hype either- that really helps. Look forward to seeing your other videos. And now a subscriber! Tx. Gk.
It might be the most important bend for blues work, but it is NOT the easiest. Wouldn't one get better with this bend after first mastering some of the easier bends?
blocking is way over rated. and most traditional lesson books teach this. It has some value for those very few 5% that can do it. If you can bend great its a very big step in finding a note you want to use. I bend some time to get out of trouble from free lancing.
Love playing along with him

Mr. Levy thank you for giving the advise to pinch lower lip. What a difference it makes bending. I would always lose air on a draw bend.

Jeff Barnes blocking or bending ? If only 5% of harp players can bend then the other 95 should quit. It's about as vital a technique as there is.
That was good!
