Obviesly, it will cost more than kibble because you are using fresh ingredients. The cost can very as all depends on what you buy and where you buy. Try shopping the meat form your local store and whichever proteins that is on sale. That includes the veggies. Try cost is and should be less than the double of kibble. The cost for me is not an issue. I buy whatever I can afford as long as I provide fresh food. What it matters is the long term health and costs of dealing with those unwanted health issues. Prevention is the key.

The simplest and the most economic way of providing a healthy meal for your dogs is to shop whatever meat that is on sale in your local stores as the main protein. Next you can add any veggies that you can buy or the leftovers or odds and ends of the veggies that you consume. Think of these be the main content. 70% meat, 30% veggies. If you can add an egg to their meal that would be amazing as well but deduct the meat when adding eggs. Add some ginger, some garlic and turmeric powder plus a spoon of omega 3 oil and you are done. The worse case scenario, do your best to add any of these to your current kibble that you are feeding.

I was told 6 to 8 weeks she is now in her eighth week being stable the lymph nodes have become stationary and I have not grown any larger, and shrunk some in her neck. She has a good appetite. After the diagnosis I put her on an organic holistic diet and coriolous Forte, EFA oil, CBD. She has lost some weight possibly due to the cancer and the diet change. No sugars low carbs. I came across your Channel due to discovering ketogenic for dogs and a raw diet for dogs with cancer. I have been cooking her chicken breast and chicken thighs and ground beef. Adding some vegetables and her supplements. I have now saw the importance of adding an organ meat as well I will start that. My question is Ketosis diet it's higher fat replacing most protein, low carb along with intermittent fasting. What meats cuts of animal fat should I use? I did for the first time tonight give her two organic chicken thighs that came skinless, lightly cooked, yet still raw though in the skillet with olive oil. 1 tbsp of organic cottage cheese, one raw egg. I want to get her into fasting but I am concerned of more weight loss. How would you approach this if it were your dog? I am going to share a few videos here which I highly recommend you to watch and get more information about what else you need to do. The idea here is to feed more healthy fat to the diet, which helps the dog and the body to prolong the fasting without being or feeling hungry. Secondly, it helps the body to start being fat-adapted which means that the body starts burning fat instead of sugar as fuel which is much healthier and natural. Coconut oil or paste is a great substitute for proteins with their natural fats (organic is better). Saro Dog Training thanks! We’re about to adopt our first dog and it’s a beagle and your channel has been a wealth of information.... your raw diet is being seriously considered. The prospect is 10 months all... should we still feed as a puppy?
Yes, you feed the puppy the same thing that an adult will eat. This is the most natural way of diet for dogs and animals. In the wild, mama wolf doesn't separate the food or feed different things to her puppy. The puppy eats the same thing that mama or papa eats.
Hi Saro, another question on water... do you keep a water bowl near their food bowl? Do you gvie water at specific times? or is it always available? And is there a specific amount you shoot for? Thanks
Fresh, preferably, filtered water should be left and provided at all times. The issue with water is that most dogs that are on kibble or dry food, tend to drink more water than the dogs on raw diet to replace the moister they suffer from kibble or dry food. That is one of the reasons why I don't support dry food or kibble as regular diet of a dog.
The meats and the veggies from your local pet food supply store. And for supplements you can order them online. For minerals and amino acid get this: peterdobias.ontraport.com/t?orid=95816&opid=2 For probiotics get this: peterdobias.ontraport.com/t?orid=95816&opid=4 For multivitamins get this: peterdobias.ontraport.com/t?orid=95816&opid=3
Yes, puppies can be fed the same thing as adults as long as the diet is balanced. Imagine in the wild, animal parents do not choose what to feed their pups. They feed them the same thing that they eat.
It is a great option. It is better than feeding kibble of course. For more info please watch the following video. ua-cam.com/video/Jv9YijB3ibI/v-deo.html
My puppy arrives tomorrow. She weighs approximately 11 pounds. 11 pounds x 10 equals 110 g. That is approximately 1/2 cup in pounds/ounces. So does that mean her food will be 1/2 cup (except raw meat, Vegetable, & supplement). 1/2 cup of food divided for three meals seems like very little food. Am I somehow calculating wrong or not understanding at all?
You are correct but remember she needs to grow and she will be growing so you need to keep adding and increasing the daily amount of food every few days. It seems little but that's what they need. Humans eat too much, too often.
could kibble be the reason my beagle sheds so much? she’s about 2 years old. healthy weight but we can’t find any standard dog food that gives her all the benefits. i think it would be ideal for her to be on a raw diet i just don’t want it to hurt her, but i cannot fully trust any regular store bought dog food!
The diet is part of the reason they shed more or less but good diet will improve the shedding. The main reason dogs shed is due to seasons change. They need to shed and you can control and mange it by de-shedding or brushing your dog on regular basis.
You could do that to transition to raw diet. I would just start with raw but if you see that your puppy is having upset stomach (due to adjusting and transitioning from kibble to new food) you can cook the food for awhile as I show in the following video: ua-cam.com/video/HUR1YswXSqE/v-deo.html
To feed my 40 Lb. beagle, it costs us about $100 per month with turkey meat. We feed dog grade non medicated bone-in meat plus juiced vegetables. If you go with grade A which is medicated meat, would cost less but we choose not to.
I AM IN INDIA AND I DO NOT HAVE ANY OF THESE ITEMS . I AM GOING TO BUY A 2 WEEKS OLD BEAGLE AND I ALWAYS WANT HIM TO BE ON A PROPER DIET . WHAT SHOULD I DO MY BEAGLE COMES HOME TOMORROW
My Labrador weight around 83 pound and should have weight around 61 pound will giving 2 egg and broccoli on his first meal and 2 egg and broccoli on his second meal in 4 hour window and fasting whole day will help him to lose weight ,I am giving him egg since its low on carb and rich in natural and protein ... So will it works as ketogenic diet + intermittent fasting and help him to lose weight faster...
4 eggs a day is just too much for dogs to consume. Stick to one egg a day and provide meat protein and some veggies. Stick to 75% meat and 25% veggies per serving or per meal. Try to feed one meal a day every 24 hours or feed twice every 12 hours. Provide 3 fast walks a day and try to feed raw, fresh meat instead of kibble.
@@SaroDogTraining will fast walk cause too much pressure on his knee and joint, and how much time will it take to 14lbs just a idea if I keep him on keto diet and intermittent fasting
There needs to be some form of physical movement happening in order to bring the heart rate up and fast walks are the most gentle and easiest way of doing that. Swimming is also a good option, if possible. As long as you don't push your dog to do very vigorous and long sessions. Instead of going for a long walk, go for several short fast walks. 30 minute each, perhaps, 3 times a day. If you commit and are consistent, in a month, you will see big changes. Don't forget to provide a good, healthy and fresh food as well.

Where do you buy all this
The meats and the veggies from your local pet food supply store.
Saro Dog Training Awesome!! Thank you very much!! just bought my kids a Beagal and has now idea about them!! You helped me very much God bless you!!
Is this same with beagle puppies?
Yes, puppies can be fed the same thing as adults as long as the diet is balanced. Imagine in the wild, animal parents do not choose what to feed their pups. They feed them the same thing that they eat.
What do u think about BARF Saro?
What is the nutritional yeast for. In other words, what Are the benefits of the year nutritional yeast?
It acts as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Nutritional yeast helps to boost immunity and has much more other benefits.
could kibble be the reason my beagle sheds so much? she’s about 2 years old. healthy weight but we can’t find any standard dog food that gives her all the benefits. i think it would be ideal for her to be on a raw diet i just don’t want it to hurt her, but i cannot fully trust any regular store bought dog food!
The diet is part of the reason they shed more or less but good diet will improve the shedding. The main reason dogs shed is due to seasons change. They need to shed and you can control and mange it by de-shedding or brushing your dog on regular basis.
@@SaroDogTraining thanks for your response!! i’ll see what i can do
Instead of raw ground chicken or ground turkey, I was thinking about lightly cooking it before serving it. Will that be OK for the dog
My dog sent me this
From what I understand, supplements include: green mineral, soul food, omega-3, egg, and nutritional yeast. Am I understanding correctly?
Yes, that is correct. All of them support the main meal. Especially for young dogs or puppies or senior dogs.
Sir mrg I feed kibble eveing iam planning to add 300 grams chicken vegetables and two eggs amd a multivitamin supplement and coconut oil
That is great. Just try adding as much as fresh food you can to the kibble.
Sensi have a 8 pound puppy, does that mean her grams per day would be 80 g with 40 in the morning and 40 in the evening?
That is correct. But because it is a puppy and it is still growing, keep adding some additional meal everyday till your puppy is fully grown.
Can You vive perc to a dog ?
Yes, you can give pork to dogs.
How much does this cost weekly to feel your dog like this?
To feed my 40 Lb. beagle, it costs us about $100 per month with turkey meat. We feed dog grade non medicated bone-in meat plus juiced vegetables. If you go with grade A which is medicated meat, would cost less but we choose not to.
@@SaroDogTraining not bad at all.

I AM IN INDIA AND I DO NOT HAVE ANY OF THESE ITEMS . I AM GOING TO BUY A 2 WEEKS OLD BEAGLE AND I ALWAYS WANT HIM TO BE ON A PROPER DIET . WHAT SHOULD I DO MY BEAGLE COMES HOME TOMORROW
Get some fresh meat from your local store and add some chopped fresh green leafy vegetables with an egg.
Thank you Saro for your reply helped me a lot
@@SaroDogTraining thanks a lot for replying hope this will work to shreds some extra pounds from my dog I try my hard to stick to the plan ....
Hi Saro,
Love your channel. We have a 15 week old Beabull (beagle mom, mini English bulldog dad). Was training him with treats but since seeing your videos we have stopped that!
What would you say the cost of this diet would be compared to kibble. Our boy seems to have a bad stomach when we feed him kibble. Vet gave us a special digestive wet food which was good but when he went back in kibble his stool is very soft. Thinking maybe this diet would work just wondering cost if it compared to kibble.
Thanks
Jon from Ontario
