Thanks for tips in the videos and will make a try. I got a beagle puppy a month ago, 12 weeks old. Recently I have been very frustrated about his potty training. He can hold the pee for the whole night 10 hours, waiting to pee outside in the morning. But he could even pee twice in 5-10 minutes, between relieving outside and at home. We take him out almost once an hour, which seems not address the potty at home problem. All families are nervous when he is sniffing at home, while he is a scent dog. I don't know how to tell which is a normal sniff and which is a signal for pee.
You can confined the puppy so is not free in the entire house or keep it in a crate while he is inside until he is fully potty trained. Also watch the following video for more info: ua-cam.com/video/oFQHPGBMPZc/v-deo.html
Saro Dog Training yes, I am following the tips in your video. I think it works. I let him play for 20-25 mins and then put it in the crate for rest. I probably gave him too much stimulus.
My brother and his family is/are planning on moving out west, and asking me if I want to take their beagle pup because of their situation(they'll be living in their camper while they look for a new home, etc). It's my niece's pup, and she's heartbroken over it, but if I took the pup she'd be a lot less upset, lol. Problem is, I don't have a lot of experience with training any dog at all(though I've always wanted one). I know the pup is about 8 months old, and hasn't really been very well house trained, has a tendency to be vocal, and chews a lot(as expected for a pup), so I'd have a lot of work ahead of me. How should I prioritize my training for a poorly trained puppy?
This is just the advice we needed. We have a 10 week baby boy beagle and haven’t had a doggy in over 7 years. We know he is very smart. But now I realize he’s definitely not sleeping 16-18 years. It’s so strange how overly excited he is. What kind of schedule to do you suggest for crate training him?
The puppy should be either in the crate or an enviroment that is safe and secure for the puppy to be. A confined area where the puppy can play and hang around without being in danger. The following video will give you some ideas as well: ua-cam.com/video/xzgXogJ9OXA/v-deo.html
Thank you for pointing me to this video. My puppy goes after all the things you listed. And he still pees in the house. I try to watch him but we are out constantly. I’ve had him two weeks and about once a day he goes in the house. 🫤
Accidents are very common in puppies as they are not able to control their bladders. If this issue insist, I suggest adjusting or changing the diet of your puppy to fresh food instead of dry kibble as it forces the puppy to drink water more than is needed which forces the puppy to have accidents. It all comes down to human error after all. Not the puppy's fault.
I've really been enjoying the content! I get a beagle puppy today and I would like to keep her near me throughout the day so I got a hands off leash, but I realize that would probably interfere with her resting! I have a playpen set up in the kitchen as well as a crate in my room for sleeping. For the first couple weeks, should I just keep her in the playpen after exercising/playing with her or can I also have her on the leash?
That is awesome! I suggest to have her in the crate during the non active hours by wherever or whatever you are doing. It keeps the puppy safe but engaging with the enviroment.
@@SaroDogTraining Thank you so much! Do you by any chance have a sample puppy schedule in one of your videos? I worry about leaving her in the crate too long or getting her over tired! I really appreciate your comment and all of the info in your videos!

When you say Puppy (Beagle puppy), are you talking about a puppy that is 3 months old, 6 months old, etc. when you are talking about how often to exercise her? If I understand correctly, “puppy” Is from 0 to approximately 18 months. Is this correct? It’s exercise time still four times a day? Is the word “party” for them to understand what you were wanting them to do in that short period of time?
Usually when we say puppy, we are talking about the first year of a dog. Just because most breeds growth and builds varies. The exercise can be adjusted based on the months that they grow. You just need to adjust, add or reduce, every few months.
Start now. Anytime after they are weaned off from their parents is time to start eating solid food. Here is more info about feeding: ua-cam.com/video/CcejBqqlk_E/v-deo.html

I have a two half year old mixed beagle. He is a rescue beagle. He holds his urine and he has started pooping in my house.😔. I’ve been taking him for a walk in the morning to help him potty which he potty’s three or four times. How can I stop this potty and poop inside my house?
We really haven’t had him long at all. Since the end of September. He has always held his urine. I’m taking him on a morning walk which had helped with that. But pooping I don’t know. I need to get my fence fixed. I’m concerned he will try getting out and let his nose do the walking.
And like I said he is a rescue beagle he lived on the streets and had heart worm. He was treated and lived with a foster for about 3 1/2 months. And traveled from Arkansas to Colorado. So climate change high altitude ect
I have a feeling that is a behavioural issue. Propebly marking. He is marking his house and that is because he is not confidant. Start training him and that behaviour will go away.
My beagle whose 5 months old was doing great with potty training but this week he got fixed now he’s just peeing and pooping everywhere. He goes outside sometimes but everytime I turn my back he’s peeing somewhere he even peed on his own bed. I’m at a loss....
