i mean it shuts off while I’m driving- I have to pull over put it in park and start it up- I found out what it is- I have a MAP SENSOR I CHANGED IT and it does crank better but I also found an additional problem which is the ignition switch- I watched a few videosg on symptoms of bad ignition switch
Yeah changed the MAP and prayed over the ignition switch it’s doing fine now - ignition switch box 📦 was the 2nd problem but my mechanic god fixed that
Noticed last year my '92 Chevy Silverado K1500 would stall in the cold and it stalled most the time at stops when I would try to accelerate. It was fine all year during warmer weather but started when it hit 30s and below. It also has issues even while driving if I am driving and try to give it a bit more gas to go it'll sputter and if I let off and hit it again sometimes it'll go fine and sometimes it'll sputter again. Have noticed just giving it full gas sometimes just makes it skip the sputter and just GO. I don't have problems restarting it until it stalls multiple times and then the battery is dead. A simple hookup to my car and it'll fire right up with no issues and drive like normal again for a bit and it'll do it again. I have been thinking lots of these issues it could be but bad battery for a year seems odd as well as alternator. I would think driving it 4+ days a week it would fully just go out. I do only drive like 7 minutes to work and back though when I drive it. Had no issues in the summer though helping a buddy move with multiple 15+ minute highway trips.
2007 Buick lacrosse is stalling every once in a while. It’ll do it at low low speed or at stop light.. drive it 600 miles with no problems.. it shut off twice after that. Drove it back 600 miles and it did it again twice. Again it was low low speed or at a stop light.. no check engine light on. It’s never had a new fuel pump.. I’m almost certain it’s the fuel pump.. any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
I have a 2013 chevy sonic lt, and just had my oil changed when I left I noticed my engine light was on, and also there was a slippery. Sign on my dash, turn around and took it back they tried checking the code, and took acap off and screwed it back on, and the engine light went off, but when driving home it's back on
In my case the stalling is intermittent _while_ I am driving. If I'm going fast enough it recovers but if I'm going slow the car will come to a stop. Waiting 5 minutes seems to reset it and it'll work fine. My OBD2 scanner shows "No error codes". I just got the manufacturer software and OBD reader where hopefully I"ll have access to the history of the error codes, but if that's not the case, I'm going to look into "OBD2 data logging" and see what that's all about.
@@Anthony-r4o I replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pressure sensor. I haven't driven much since then. If it stalls again, I'll replace the fuel pump (not fun, access via removing the back seat!). And it if still stalls, I don't know!
my car only stops when it comes to a full stop, everything else works, radio, AC, lights, we tested the battery at 2 places both said they’re good. After the car stops i have to wait about 10 mins and it turns on just fine. we also replaced all spark plugs and nothing worked. do you have any idea what this could be?
@@8020Media i took it to a mechanic they said bad solenoids replaced them, on my way home stopped again… took it back asked if it could be the fuel pump or anything and they said no. I’m so confused and just want to get an answer. thank you for taking time to reply
I have a 2008 santa fe every time i press hard on the break the engines stalls. It will let me turn it back on and keep going. It doesn't give out lights or codes any suggestion please
What about if steering wheel locks up and car barely moves after being at a stop light? It has happened twice in 1 day. I flashed my lights, and restart the car and it goes back to normal but I can feel a bit of shake as I drive. Any ideas?
Great and thorough video, very well explained. I think the fuel system is part of the problem. I liked how you explained symptoms and lack of them, helping us diagnose down further to at least have some idea of what might be wrong. Do you have any links for diagnosing old non-computerized manual clutch cars? Most of the videos out there are for computerized cars. Thanks
When I give my car gas it really stalls and sometimes when I am just driving down the road it will stall but when I have the cruise control on it will drive ok why it makes no sense to me

A - This sounds like a fueling related issue.
Thanks for all the insights. If not the air filter, it looks like i am going to get it diagnosed with the computer bord.
