I applied for a police department position right around that time and got through the entire hiring process. Boom hired and currently a recruit in the academy. I’m about 2 months deep so far and I love it!

I had my interview this morning and it genuinely seemed like they couldn’t wait to be done. From the moment I walked in it felt like their decision was already made. But I answered everything honestly which is the most I could’ve hoped for. After I finished they said I’d hear from them after they finish the rest of the interviews.

My mock interview at Northwest Fire is tomorrow. The actual cheifs interview is August 21, and I'm preparing harder than anything else in my life. I got a DUI and Burglary charges when I was 18, went to prison, found recovery, and have been clean and sober 7 years now. That's some heavy baggage. However, I've made it this far, as you say, my recovery is the biggest gift in my life, I work at an elementary school currently, and I WANT this. Everyone I meet and speak with on it can tell. Do you have any advice for someone with my kind of past? Do I bring these past mistakes up on my own? Do I wait for them to do it? Thank you for this channel and ask your work mike. Just got brought on as a recruit for a paid on call position in Vancouver BC. Our countries may not be the same, but I don't think I would've made it through the interview without these videos 💪 I even introduced the training chiefs to this resource because they're always on the lookout. Hello. I’m about to take a civil service exam and was wonder if you plan to make a video on how to answer the senario type questions? For example: Your in the locker room and you notice illegal drugs in another firefighter’s duffel bag. What do you do? A. Do nothing. B. Talk to that firefighter about it. C. Tell the other firefighters. D. Tell your superior. I dont think i worded it the same as the one i read once but you get the idea. Thanks in advance!

I’m currently in the hiring process with Cobb County Fire Department in GA. Oddly enough, there was no panel interview. I’m going to interview with the Fire Chief next week, and the only interview I had so far was with my background investigator. I have passed my written test, physical agility test, background check, polygraph, and psychological exam. The lack of a panel interview makes me question what the Chief’s interview will be like. Perhaps it will be a hybrid of the panel and the chief’s interview. I really want to nail it, as it’s the very last step and I’ve done well so far. I’m wondering if I should bring resumes and/or a portfolio. I know my background investigator made a “folder” with all my information, ready for the Chief’s disposal. Maybe, it does not hurt to bring those documents anyways. I want to appear as prepared as possible. What do you think? Thank you for the helpful content!
My interview with the chief is tomorrow 🥶😰however I applied for a position as a cadet at a campus police department. I already submitted my application, written exam, questionnaire, background investigation/live fingerprint, I have attended an oral interview and now they sent an email saying that they revised all my documents, information and they decided to move me forward in the hiring process which is the chief interview and if he decides to move me forward I will begin my process with Human Resources also known as Silk Road. Don’t know what that means but I am going to watch these videos for any tips
Ya I should bring this up in a video interview. Don't be surprised if any interview panel (chiefs included) have a very flat affect. They can be very difficult to read.

Hello! I had my panel interview 2 weeks ago and listed references as they asked. I feel I did great in the interview. I will find out in July if I will have a chief interview. I found out today that my references have been contacted is that a good sign?

Sounds like you’re fairly far along in the hiring process.. that’s usually a good sign.
