Glad you enjoyed! You will need the Solar Confroller to plug the BT-1 in. See link below in the BT-1 description for Vlog 2. Even if If you are not adding solar panels, it is great to montior battery status.
What type of battery are you using? I'm curious about the BT-1 module working with non renogy branded batteries. I gave them a call and they told me I needed to purchase a renogy branded battery for the bluetooth to work but if the BT-1 plugs straight into the charge controller why would I need a renogy branded one?
This set up will give you an approximate battery meter as it comes from the voltage of the battery, the smart battery will be more precise. I have opted with this set up as I don’t need as much detail
Thanks for a decent video. Have you road tested this? Im curious because of the wiring not being at least cable tied to the pvc frame at the rear and the mounting of the charger. Seems like there would be allot of movement for the pv wiring and the charge controller mount.
Thank you for comment. Yes, road tested. No problems with controller wiring. There is a zip tie on the controller to secure wiring with drilled holes through th wood board. The solar panels are stored away under the queen bed in the back disassembled. The solar panel wires are very robust, if you are concerned about solar panel wires, you could zip tie to frames, I have chosen not put zip ties.
For the solar controller build, in the description is a link to the solar controller build that shows the zip ties to secure wires. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/GSKI2EY9ItY/v-deo.html
I have the same setup as you. Mine never shows anything for current draw (solar / battery / or load). My voltage is the only numbers that changes. Is it the same for you? Is our controller not capable of showing current?
I just upgraded to the rover and I think I'm going to get this BT 1. It looks like it will be a great addition. Great video!

Great video mate.

Conected to the standard 100amp-hr lead acid battery that came with the LGM. Not a renogy battey. Works great!
awesome thanks!@@ramblinroses6066

Yes only voltage in and Battery voltage. If you want current you need a battery monitor.
To measure current I installed a battery monitor. Here is video for my install ua-cam.com/video/1h7q9Ytd0A4/v-deo.html
Just a same the controller can only take max 25volt solar panel
