Love hearing the sounds of the shop ! Much better than having background music. We get the full effect !

Que bonito. Me hiciste recordar cuando trabajé a los 10 años. Hacer las zapatillas de mujer. Por el barrio de Tepito, aquí en Ciudad de México. Y el taller lo pasaron después a la colonia Malinche. Ahí me hice mis botas vaqueras. Recordando el sonido de toda la maquinaria. BELLISIMO trabajo. El aroma de la piel. Los tintes. Los cortes. La chaira para sacar filo a la navaja de corte.

Whenever I buy new boots I always burn off the extra threading at first I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea or not, but it Brian does it then I know it ok. “Of corse it’s always a pleasure to see Brain show his skills truly amazing craftsmanship.”

Brian, love your technique to get the logger heel. And the free hand cut of the tongue protector👍 And hearing the Sole stitcher really turns the clock back for me....... We had a “B “ shaped sanding wheel on our old Landis finisher. I wish that I had a dollar for each time I sanded my knuckle off saving the upper from an injury..... can’t wait to meet you someday Sole Brother Bob in Colorado. 👞🥾

Great video! Seeing you shape the heel & souls, trying to match the look while sanding large areas, that’s a deep skill.
Very nice logger boots. I have a pair of redwings I feel were nice but solid heal rocks. How burn all the extra thread just showed detail. I do this with a book of match on many of new shoestore boots I thought came up with on my own.

I like the logger style boots; I've worn them for work (railyard foreman) for many years. But those flat decorative soles wouldn't last a month walking on the tracks.
As a foreman aren’t you sitting behind a desk all day?
@@colemancalgary5260 I walk every train in my yard. Worked it out once to about seven miles a night on granite ballast, a few years back. Less trains running now because of the pandemic, so I get a break for a few months.
Ted Bownas you must be the junior foreman most people ride quads in the rail yard.
@@colemancalgary5260 I work in passenger yards. No quads, the tracks are too close together to run one in between, and you couldn't get over the third rail anyway. And I've got 16 years as an electrician and 14 as a foreman.
