I'm so glad to see he's alright after that fall. My grandpa recently fell in his driveway. He is about the same age and broke his femur and hip and the recovery almost killed him.

Well it is a bit different when you are surprised and slip at an old age and expect to fall at an old age. Yes it's reaction time the older you get the more this becomes important. I have noticed a great deal of difference from 18 to 34 already. Can't imagine 34 to 80.
