Phillip Bailey at 71 still can go up and down the octave scale like nothing. Don't let him be on a good vocal day he is in whistle register heaven effortlessly too.

Philip Bailey had a solo album in the mid-eighties called Chinese Wall. The title track is amazing ❤️ (and not as high pitched as this performance 🙉) 😉

Not a Wedding Song. Actually about a one night stand. Great Blue Light in the basement song. EWF is the best band ever on gods green earth. They were just as famous for that ballads as their dance tunes. Two of my favorite ballads were "I'll Write a Song For You" and "Love's Holiday" both from the "All N All" album.

I don't understand your reactions.. You never heard this music?? It's not possible... You have as many gaps as that?? Explain to me because I don't understand this cultural lack so important..
I've said it once and I'll say again, if I say I never heard it before I'll say that in my video....it's also possible to not know everything. My reactions are simple, I get a request to song I never knew before and react to it. On some occasions I know the song, and I'll state it

I'm a bit baffled at your message, thinking Dereck should know every song suggested to him.
I can't imagine a single person that knows every song out there -- I don't.
I was raising my children in the 90's & 2000's, so my world was Disney, Sesame Street, and all of the kid/teen songs...while my music was set aside. I totally missed 2 decades of new music. Today -- I still run across a song from the 90's or so that I'd never heard, and I get so stoked at the new sound... excited to add to my personal playlist.

...and knowing how much Dereck loves music as much as I do, and getting turned onto new fabulous videos/songs -- I purposely request songs that I select for Dereck to experience himself (moreso than getting the Reaction for myself).
I love watching Dereck get excited on new sounds...so I request music/videos that is superb, but also are usually before Dereck's time.
This video is an excellent example of this and I'm so thrilled he loved it.
And yes, others here have commented they think the studio version being better ; however, Dereck really likes to see live versions, when possible, so I offer live versions if they are equally or even better than studios. And just sometimes, I offer two UA-cams of the same song, and point out what would be the difference between them (eg., same song/same artist/both live...but one recorded in the 70's, the other in the 2000's -- and other differences for other requests) and then Dereck can decide which one he chooses to React to.
Dereck does an exceptional Reaction, every single time, and I love watching him react to songs of all sorts, whether he's heard of them or not -- His Reactions are just as great!!💕
