I wish to be a winner in toastmaster international someday This guy is really inspiring and i wish to speak more than this one day. Thumbs up from a Nigerian
they won't remember what you said but they will remember that you said something and that is what makes this speech something that I want to come back to again and again
Ohhhh this makes so much sense why in 2019 Aaron Beverly said that the Toastmaster was relieved that the title was only 3 words. This is so clever ! Really full circle
@@publicspeakingmentor Dear sir, I wanna thank you for giving me hope because this quiet introvert just won 5th place in the competition so thanks for replying to this simple comment!
Janna 7 I’m just reading this. CONGRATULATIONS!!! 👏 I too had an achievement this year. I won this year’s world championship of public speaking. Another win for introverts
l am so glad that l heard this speech today. it really hit me.something resonate with me . l would love to hear this speech everyday.l really love it.glad l listened.thanks bro
Powerful speech with a powerful message. Good body language, emotional expressions and transition. Still I don't know how he missed the first place in this contest. Continue with passion, sky is the limit
I had to check if I was still watching a Toastmasters speech competition or if I had clicked one video too far that I ventured into a stand-up comedy provided by the algorithm.
I have a stuttering problem and so because of this I’m usually quiet in school. I also fear public speaking and I get anxiety when speaking in front of a large group. But honestly I wish I could speak with no stutter but with confidence and commanding leadership!
Wish Aron had specifically emphasized that *the way one speak* doesn't matter as much as *how much one speak.* The one with stuttering (it's not a problem just a unique condition) are hell ya cute and unique with the speaking skill...if you believe you want to and can then go ahead without an inch of doubt. You completely deserved to be heard. I'm an Indian and I remember there's a Nescafe ad on a stuttering person which would run as commercial for days. The ad showcased how the non-stutterers would be impatient and often laugh at him which would leave disappointed and heart-broken. Rather than taking it up as 'Why people laugh at Me', he realized his special gift and it took this way- 'I can make People laugh without even trying!'. He embraced it and ended up being a stand up comedian. All this was showcased in a few seconds ad and I remember this to this day because that was so beautiful.
Practice in a safe supportive environment will assist you to become comfortable and feel able to speak from a relaxed position. Quite sure you have great words of wisdom to share. I wish you well with developing the confidence and capability to do so. I assure you attendance and participation in Toastmasters meetings can support you in that regard and more. Wishing you much enjoyment and ample interesting times ahead.
Words has great power.it will influence many people, like you have done.some times it's change one's life ,if so it's a great achievement for the speaker.your words has the capacity to change the life.keep going sir
This guy was beaten by that underwear guy!? More unprofessional judging by Toastmasters international. Gimmicks always seem to beat substance in these contests. You are an amazing speaker and you should have won, hands down.
Haha it's crazy i am watching this a day after a friend of mine and i were taklking about a guy who was presenting a workshop where he was talking a lot. We both felt like no one was interested in the information that he was sharing and no one was even gonna remember his many words. It's really not about the number of words that you speak but how impactful your words are
What a thorough, insightful deep dive into a very good speech. Obviously, putting in this kind of work is what has made you a champion. Thank you for sharing this with us, all the best for whatever challenge you move on to next.
haha to be honest, Andra I fully expected there to be a rule change the following year, but it never came. I guess Toastmasters assumes that no one would dare try this again. 😂
I hope most of this speech wasn't just made up especially d part where u mentioned u didn't use to talk much and was always reminded to talk more cuz I really can relate to dat wc in turn makes u inspire me too😊
This guy won in 2019...yahooo

that speech was only nine minutes and it touched my heart
Na 7 min
He was 2nd place. His speech got me to want to hear more. Loved it.
You are the first person I've heard who said that it's okay to be a quite person🥺... Thank you so much for this
Ok ! But it's 'quiet' not 'quite'.
@@exposed1949 come on man !

You're welcome Jen! It's definitely no shame in being quiet at all. Glad that you liked the speech.

Speech extraordinaire! Aaron I found this one better than the other speech that won you ISC 2019.
Ohhhh this makes so much sense why in 2019 Aaron Beverly said that the Toastmaster was relieved that the title was only 3 words. This is so clever ! Really full circle
Yeah!
Making this a title is the definition of courage.
God, his points were mindblowing ❤
A few words....simple but we don't do it. Well presented.
Impressive speech indeed... Use of silence was powerful
Hiiii everyone ....he is an amazing speaker with a brilliant nature ...Hit like if you agree
I love speeches with analogies. They’re the best!
I'll be participating in a public speaking competition and I aim to be as amazing as this guy although I suck at talking.
At one time, so did I. It's all about taking those first steps. Good luck with your competition!

Congrats Aaron Beverly 2019 world champion of public speaking 👏👏😊
My guy. That was smooth.
Wow, that was awe inspiring. Simple. True. Effective.
Powerful speech with a powerful message. Good body language, emotional expressions and transition.

My favorite so far! 😍
Great speech!!!
Exemplary speech delivery. Worth learning
Why almost all toastmaster winners are bald? 😀😀
they rub their head too much to think
don't be stupid
Actually all the best public speakers I know😂😂. All are bald. But I guess it makes them look smart.
i am going to ne bold now
🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏
You deserve 1st place.
Just because you said more it doesn't mean people will remember what you said.

he is one of most favorite public speakers, along side dananjaya hettiarachchi

It's okay, he got his this year.
Your wish is fulfilled after 3 years
agreed :) That is very true
This speech was great, but too similar to the previous year's winner.
I love how deadpan the contest chair said the title HAHAHA

Excellent Speech!
Aaron : Recite that entire title off the top of your head right now , go !
Audience : * recites the entire title *
Aaron : *surprised pikachu face*
Irfan Adib had that happened I would’ve walked off stage 😂🤣
Great leader takes great risks! :)
Probably the best.....❣️❣️
just because you say more. it doesn't mean people will always remember what you said.8:03
Amazing speech ❤️
Not to discredit the champion for 2016, Darren. But this resonated with me more.
Thanks for sharing
Wowwww that's amazing...AARON CAN TALK?????????????????
That part cracked me up
If you are still reading this you are a legend #respect2you
Simply Amazing
You’re telling me that speech that just made me cut onions didn’t win 1st place!?
He made a good point that maybe it's a good idea to choose a word limit for the titles :))
A word limit would seem unnecessary though. This was a rare circumstance that fit the topic, of course.
haha to be honest, Andra I fully expected there to be a rule change the following year, but it never came. I guess Toastmasters assumes that no one would dare try this again. 😂

Amazing
I totally agree. What TOASTMASTERS has taught me how to not use fillers. I can not wait to reconnect with this ILLUSTRIOUS ORGANIZATION
i am a quite person and i love the silence
Yes, there is nothing wrong with enjoying silence and quiet.
Excellent
Thank you. Much appreciated.
Bad judgement (in my judgement) at the contest but that's not new to Toastmasters!! You should have won.
Thumbs up just for the toastmaster getting through the title with a straight face... Twice...
Every word counts,,, it can bring love or hatred
Yes indeed. Thank you
Cheers to the toastmaster of the evening! He had a tough time !
Wow!
Great speech. Thanks

the title though...
What a excellent way of delivery of sentences..great sense of humour
Excellent selection of the title. This is the next level of "attention grabbing opening" Carefully drafted from beginning to the end.
At the 5 minute 46 second point it kinda glitched
Wonderful speech.
