Yea Chiko! It’s bigger than you would think. The irony of the engine is that it’s just a 6 cylinder. I had a ford that was a V8 and that was a monster engine. But even Semi trucks have 6 cylinders so I guess that is still big.
its hard to find people that show off the vehicle like you have. Thank you for the videos and i will be keeping an eye out for more. Is there a reason you went with the long horn as the base for the Prospector XL kit?
Thank you for the kind words JU1CEME. You know the longhorn has a very unique look to it. Definitely not my first option on first glance. But it grows on you. The level of detail and thought that goes into the package interior is legit.
Love that interior color and the paint options you got from AEV. I also have a 3500 Prospector XL and can confirm the STT Pro's are definitely much louder then the Toyo's.
Yes, 2500's are more common I think because of the 5-link and that owners don't need to tow/carry as much weight. Ours are typically for slide in campers/expedition rigs (as it was built for) so 3500 payloads are must. 2500 payload w/ AEV parts deducted is around 1,800 lbs. The 3500 is close to 4,000 lbs @@iAmMarchal
@@4x4ready yea. 1800 isn’t a lot of payload. Depending of course on what you’re doing. Just loading with 4 people their gear and pulling a legit trailer with good tongue weight gets you there.
@@iAmMarchal Yes, agree it all depends on your use case. That 2500 Prospector XL with the 5 link is very plush and I love it too. The 3500 is a tow monster, each is a trade off but both bad ass I think
In the market for one with the longhorn trim like yours. Have you found options to lessen the noise? Currently have a gen3 raptor but towing is a nogo at 8k lbs. I do drive on the highway mostly…
@@majorstenwe are on the same path. Used to have a Raptor. Got rid of it for same reason. No towing or payload. As for noise I think only answer is different tires. These are soooo loud IMO. Just got back from a 900 mile trip. It’s bad. Otherwise best truck package ever.
That sure is a massive truck man..and the way that engine is roaring, wow😮

Nice! Seems the 3500 isn’t common for the Prospector. More 2500? You have Toyo now but had STT before? If so which Toyo?

@@iAmMarchal Thanks for the reply Marchal. Might have to put on 39” KO2s… last question, what kinda mileage are you averaging?
@@majorsten I track mileage religiously. I’m averaging 11.50 city and 15.30 HWY. this is at high elevation. I’m in CO. None towing figures.
Is it a regular Cummins or a high output?
HO.
The whole video u only see dude talking 😭🤦🏽♂️
