@HitlerRevenge well what you don't really understand is he's not the kinda character to have development and a shown backstory. He's this genius psychopath who's only interested in pure chaos and evil. No other joker showed that kind of perfect joker attitude. Nicholsons acting was amazing and he also was a a crazy genius but he lacked what heath had he was more of a laughable and trickster joker so when people saw him they felt emotions like a little anxious but also like "oooh he's here!" But when heath got in the scene everyone was scared a little tense and knew something was about to go down and he was about to murder someone. That's why heaths joker is the best and it's not "overrated" he deserves the insane amount of fame he gets

Heath ledger's joker is like Jared Leto's
They were not the joker. The joker for one has slicked back hair, a bright suit, and actually told jokes. Heath's and Pheonix's jokers both weren't jokers they more were like the joker's gang in batman beyond. Heath's acting was good but he should have stayed close to the source material.
