Horror Speedruns Explained: Dead Rising TimeSkip New Game

- So this is actually a game I have been meaning to do for my Horror Speedruns Explained series. This run does have some mistakes but we can consider that a good example of pressing forward and what can potentially go wrong and how to overcome that.
Dead Rising speedruns use a mod called TimeSkip which removes WAITING time which would otherwise total up to 6 hours of waiting. It makes the actual game much more action packed and we have a load of different categories depending on how one would want to beat these.
As a New Game speedrun you are essentially beating the game from a fresh file which makes this much more intense!

This has been helpful, I've decided to pick up Timeskip%. The big thing I'm trying to practise is Bike Skip, both using the bench setup and the one you're using in your current runs.
The Super Ultra Giga Chad setup where you launch from the wall feels tricky to explain what my problem is, even though it looks like I'm lining up in the same way, as I'm leaning to the left and holding F, it kinda just stops doing anything. The bench setup I do seem to take flight with but I don't actually clip through / launch far enough to land into Paradise Plaza.
Anyway! Thanks for making this explanation, I'll be using this to pick up the rest of the route as well. Once I've got a strat I'm comfortable with for bike skip I'll be trying to do some runs.
It's much easier now and I technically need to redo this because of the newer strat. Pokisal has a video tutorial that can help

Out of all my years of playing dr1 on my 360 to my Xbox one and then finally PC, I never realized that you could just roll your analog stick around.
It's a LIFECHANGER
yeah, it would have been a lifechanger for me. . because i just spent 2 weeks playing this and the sound of me frantically wiggling the joystick drove my roommate crazy. it was so bad that it almost ruined our friendship and i had to decide which was more important, beating this game or keeping my friend. (i still managed to get 100% cheevments, while she was asleep and couldn't hear it)
but wow, if i had known this rolling trick, that never would have been an issue

just curious. have you ever done a speedrun where you save everyone? i.e. get the A ending and save all 49 survivors as well? i realize that you might not be able to use the time skip mod for that and it would take a lot longer
I have, it should be titled All Survivors and Scoops I think

Can you do one without time skips?
The only difference is you wait for 6 real hours. Just pause the video for 6 hours and it'll have the same effect

How do you get between cases that fast?
It’s a mod called TimeSkip! It jumps the cases forward and let’s us Speedrun it
