I feel those 2 people on the news should not have sugarcoated their opinions, it’s like they were tiptoeing around it for some reason, maybe scared of being sued ..? Idk but people should be speaking the truth about her and pointing out that she is in dire straits near death, not speaking out boldly and honestly isn’t going to help this matter and people need to voice their concerns and specifically talk about how her mother and father need to be investigated, especially Eugenia’s mother who is clearly enabling her daughter and is in denial right along with her. Everyone should be outraged that Social media has kept allowing Eugenia to post her content when you can clearly see how much she continues to deteriorate in her videos throughout these years, when is someone going to step up and finally say that this is enough and ban her from UA-cam and TikTok?! It needs to stop now.
Her mother is the person she’s closest to and said in a video “she’s fine she’s just a skinny minny” and also tried to have the friend that got her 5150’d arrested for kidnapping. She will never get better until her mother admits there’s a problem and her mother is the one filming and taking her photos most of the time. It’s truly an awful situation.

You all fail to realize that calling her skeletal is a huge compliment in her mind and motivates her to continue this. Skeletal is her desired result. Shes been a cash cow for her mother/family for over a decade, so as harsh as it is to say, the mothers goal is to keep her happy and producing content for sick people who have a fetish for these types of girls and pay big money for her stay this way. Her mother also knows that the sicker her daughter gets the more views and interaction she gets and in turn she generates more money being in this state. Any normal and caring mother who loves their child and would do anything for them, would have put a stop to this a long time ago, acted in her best interest and sure as hell wouldnt be taking the pics,videos and managing her sick daughters social media accounts when its such a huge contributor to her worsening illness. The mother is clearly mentally ill herself and seems to care more about continuing to generate a profit. She is clearly and actively dying now and if theres any chance of saving her the state she lives in needs to step in, remove her from her mothers influence and home and get an order to place her in treatment or at this stage the intensive care unit in a hospital. Committing suicide is still a crime in most states regardless of the method used and that could be used to potentially save her. If your a believer, now is definitely the time to pray for eugenia, theres great power when it comes to praying in large numbers. Hate, vile comments and banning her is not going to save her life or anyone elses. If your reading this and you know her mother/family, now is the time to have a serious conversation with her/them about discontinuing the enabling and acting with urgency to get her the help she needs.

Not identifying financial costs per se, but as a rubric as to how enormous the situation is in the US, $500 million/year is spent on attempted suicides, and the economic and health problems that occur, etc., are enormous. We do not live in a society that promotes the destruction of human life. ❤

The Cooney family needs to be investigated. Yes, Eugenia is an adult, but still being controlled specifically by her mother who enables it all. Parents must advocate for their children, I do not see a mother advocating for the health and well-being of her daughter. The trauma Eugenia carries is unimaginable, whether she even recognizes she is suffering from trauma or not.

Her mother seems like she just doesn't care. She'll even say that Eugenia is fine.. She has been enabling her behavior since she was a small child. I think she's probably controlling and does everything for her too. Eugenia can't drive and can't do basic things like cook for herself and that's on her parents.

Yea It makes no sense. I had a eating disorder but I wasn't as nearly this thin. Then I got sick with the flu, pneumonia, was malnourished and lost heart muscle. They told me if I didn't eat I would die. Maybe her body Is use to starvation but others aren't. 😢

Yeah, it’s truly bizarre that she hasn’t passed away, whilst other people with ED do all the time! CIP /teenagers pass away from ED’s all the time. And even younger people. And so many of them don’t look anywhere near as thin (that’s an understatement) as Eugenia does. Come to think of it, didn’t some gal just sadly pass away like a couple weeks ago from it? Rip 🕊I saw her pics, & she didn’t look as thin as Eugenia either. But it’s been so long, and she’s still alive and thinner than others who don’t make it. Oh, and does anyone remember Eugenia saying that she’s always been really extra small boned? Usually a person is large/med/small framed. She showed a pic of herself at around age 5 trying to say “look I was too skinny then as well.” I’m just thinking back. Not saying her word/doctors word’s had substance to her condition present day. I just remembered that.
Her mother needs to be investigated for negligence for actively preventing her from getting help, false imprisonment for not letting her leave the house, and financial abuse for controlling her money so she can’t move out of her mother’s home. I’m sure there is a whole slew of other charges for abuse that could be filed if law enforcement would just investigate.

Ban her and investigate what the hell is really going on with her mentally and with her family.
She recently did a set of videos showing herself doing things shes never done before. For a 30 year old woman it was quite eye opening. She did things like plant a flower, go through a carwash, go to the beach, bake cookies, go on a fairground ride etc. The gardening one ended with her being completely freaked out because she got dirt on her sock. The cookie one, she actually said "I didnt know you could make frosting, I thought you just buy it". The fairground one she freaked out and ended up on a childrens ride. The beach one, she didnt know how to inflate a beach ball! I get the feeling this 'woman' has never been allowed to grow up. She has never had control of her own life which I feel is still the case. Her mum films her videos (some from very strange angles for a parent to film), her mum tells her viewers shes healthy and theres nothing to worry about, her mum tells her viewers she eats (obviously she doesnt) Her mum encourages the skimpy outfits and extravagant shopping trips. When she returned from the last intervention, her mum should have encouraged her to stay away from social media as she was looking so much healthier, but, I guess the money wasnt coming in anymore so Eugenia was once again filmed and plastered over YT, TT etc. The mum doesnt see her wasting away like we do because most of the time Eugenia is alone with her stuffed toys in her recording room where she sleeps on a sofa! The only interaction is when mum tries to make herself look like a decent mum and takes her out somewhere, and even those occasions are filmed from start to finish. Eugenia has no idea what life outside her room is actually about. Someone needs to get her out of that house and somewhere safe!
That's harrowing. There is truly something sick happening in that home. I hope she can get out of there and live a good healthy life

The life of a sick person is a hard one. Eugenia is just locked away in her own world of counting calories and very likely afraid of eating. There's not much she can do to incorporate things from the world when she's too busy in her sickness to participate in it.

That is most likely 100% true.
I sort of hope her mom sees this so it might get through to Deb that it isn't just "jealous haters" that critique Eugenia's obvious disorder. But then I sort of doubt her mom is capable of seeing or admitting to herself that this is really really bad, like her child most likely won't outlive her without intervention.

11.5- I know because my anorexia started not long after Eugenia surfaced, i dont even have the words to explain the damage shes done to me, my childhood that should’ve stayed a child growing up in a safe supportive loving environment when instead i was kicked out the school i loved spent all my teen years in and out of inpatient treatment for multiple months at a time (1st admission was 15 months… oh and yeah i was 13) and at 25 although im nowhere near as deep into my illness as i was im still struggling a lot but I can’t access help because im not underweight- its sick and i hate that for 11.5 years eugenias destroyed SO MANY CHILDHOODS! Just look at the comments on her videos, she sees the comments about how her illness and refusal to get help yet flaunting that in the faces of the people that’re forced into help.. i am SO glad a big news station is covering this because she needs Dr Phil’s tough love sharpish!!!

She is barely allowed friends and the friends that got her into rehab were ripped away and called kidnappers. I have a friend who lost a lot of weight and looks terrible, but she is so proud of herself and thinks she is beautiful now. It is sad.
Karen Carpenter wasn't that small. Her heart gave out once she finally decided to get help.

Karen suffered from bullemia and anorexia . Every body is different and some hearts cannot surrive the abuse . The heart is a muscle and when you starve a muscle it dies . Karen also had an addiction to laxatives and prescription drugs to lose weight. Many of those drugs have been banned no longer exist in modern times.

She had everybody fooled. That's why her heart finally gave out. All that emptying of the bowels led to an extreme electrolyte deficit,plus all the other abuse her body underwent,is what finally killed her. RIP, Karen.
I don't think she'll be alive that much longer. I work in a nursing home and she looks like a resident right before they are dying. The similarity is jarring. I go and watch her videos every couple of months to see if she got better but the most recent one in the purple dress.. I've never seen her look worse 😔

As a 56 year old grandmother who once had a horrible eating disorder (and extremely, fortunately got well with 25 years of intensive therapy) I was still interested in seeing this woman with a twinge of envy. Most people don't survive 85 pounds and although I was very fortunate and am actually about 20 pounds overweight- that feeling stays with most of us at some level and seeing this isn't healthy for anyone
I've never had the illness, but everytime I see eugenia, one of my first thoughts is "I need to lose weight". It's honestly scary. Her content at least needs to be child restricted. Very concerning that my 5yo could stumble upon her videos and watch them.

Her mom disturbs me the most because she's watching her daughter waste away in her own home and she just enables her. I think the problem is that she is so adamant that she does NOT promote her lifestyle. She is careful to point out that she doesn't want anyone to be like her or look like her. She simply is another person being herself on social media.

Have you even been on youtube or tiktok? which good influences have you ever found in there? ... people who sneak in places uninvited because anything is ok in order to film videos and make money? giving the message that you can earn a lot of money doing stupid stuff on the internet and , what's worse, twerking or posing pretty much naked? drugs? alcohol? have you seen celebrities displaying satanic symbolism? dear, teach your children not to be influenced because you cant get rid of all bad influences, that's what social media and television are about and it's literally everywhere. You can be all of the above and get manipulated into not even knowing literally who you are. When he died 7 years ago, my mind was completely shattered. I looked at my daughter and said I don't even know who I am! I was Mike's wife. What now? I had a complete mental breakdown and was hospitalized. Do I really like this food or did I eat it because he did? It took me 5 YEARS to even begin to get sorted out. So I agree she is all those things, and I blamed myself and punished myself emotionally because I 'let' it happen, or did I? I did what I thought was the right thing. I'm happy mow, a new emotion for me.

A few years ago some of her friends 5150'ed her and she was forced into rehab but left after like a month, she came back and was doing good and seemed to be recovering than she relapsed and is even more ill than before. She desperately needs someone to 5150 her again IMO before she kills herself.

Nearly? She *is* skeletal. In my opinion, it’s not only her appearance that has a negative affect, but it’s also what she says in regards to it. She regularly tells her viewers that she’s “fine,” she’s “eating and everything,” and that her “doctor says she’s healthy.” That’s indirectly telling her audience that it’s fine, healthy according to a doctor, and safe to restrict her food to such an extreme. Her mother has also come on screen in Eugenia’s videos and said eugenia is fine, she’s “seen Eugenia’s bloodwork and not worried at all,” and that she’s “just skinny.” I think it would be a lot different if her channel was at least age restricted and she was upfront that her illness isn’t healthy.

Everyone is talking about the mom. But the DAD and a BROTHER also live in the same house. It’s not just the mom, they are all in the same house letting this happen and no one seems to want to step up and call authorities.

I don't think you are aware that part of anorexia is looking for "insiration" (they often call it "thinspo") to motivate them to keep starving themselves. If you look deep into Eugenia, she is 100% promoting anorexia. She glorifies it. This case is not comparable to run-of-the-mill influencers uploading instagram pbotos on the beach in Malibu.

I had my first heart attack at the age of 24- then another at the age of 32 then a minor stroke at 40.
It was all from starving myself. I never thought I could get better. I'm 56 and 2 years ago when my husband died, I didn't realize I was starving myself again -until my friend told me I looked like I was dying.
So here I go again.

I came across Eugina Cooney's channel about a year ago, and I was horrified then. She's even more emaciated now. My God, I've never seen an anorexia case as advanced as hers. This woman is in crisis mode. She needs to be hospitalized, immediately. When I look at her, I remember Karen Carpenter. The world lost the light, and the angelic, haunting, singing voice of that dear, gifted lady, to anorexia. And she was fighting for her life. She wanted to recover. Karen Carpenter was thirty two years old when she passed. Eugenia, hasn't even come to the point, yet, of being able to admit she needs help. God help her. She is close to death in her present state. 😔🙏♥️
So glad someone is covering this story. Her videos always show up on my home feed. I am 0% interested in her or her lifestyle, yet UA-cam promotes her videos on my feed. I report them as “harmful” and yet they still pop up.

I really hate how everybody simply says all of these things about the influence Eugenia has because of her body, the way her body looks, countless theories on why she is so skeletal, but never that she suffers from AN EATING DISORDER! She’s not some wacko like the internet and media are making her out to be, she is somebody who is sick and struggling and is not getting the proper support from her own mother who practically exploits her emotionally vulnerable daughter. It’s time everyone opens their eyes and puts the pressure on Eugenia’s Mother who has been behind the camera this whole time instead of getting her the care and medical attention that she needs. Eugenia is not to blame, she has suffered.

The therapist neglected to mention anorexia is the most deadly mental illness. If nothing changes for her, she will not live a long life . The way she's specifically going right now, she might not live to middle age or even her early 30's. Sometimes I think that is what she wants, though. I think her life drive has morphed into death drive.
Unfortunately, she will probably just equate this coverage to attention. Her mom enables/films/photographs her. Almost any picture or video taken of Eugenia outside of the home is being filmed by her mother Deborah Cooney.
I wish she was at the least age restricted but if kids do see her, i hope that they would learn that her extreme appearance comes at a very heavy price : early death, constant physical pain, feeling cold in comfortable room temperatures, fine hairs growing all over the body, hair loss on the scalp, tooth decay and tooth loss, premature appearance of aging in the face and body due to fat loss, eventual organ failure , inability to have children, brittle bones, etc etc etc etc
I was anorexic in my teens . I don't think I got as emaciated as she is now , but it was the worst I've ever felt in my life . Lost my period, hair thinned, my joints ached like I was 80 years old , I lost all sex drive and any lust for life . I got the shivers when it was sunny and a warm 75 degrees outside. No energy to walk across campus. No mental energy for school. Cut off from others and couldn't even share a meal or snacks with family and a few friends . Eventually couldn't force myself to swallow solid food. I was a hollow shell disconnected from life . Seeing her reminds me of how bad it felt and how distressing it objectively looks to be in the throws of that mental disorder.
Your word's, are filled with wisdom, & truth, which have obviously been gained from your suffering ,& pain. 😔💔🙏

I know that feeling which makes watching all this even harder 💜 recovery is also part of what makes EDs so deadly so it would be a long, slow process for her too.
How many mothers are telling their daughters "you're not healthy. This could kill you". And the daughters see Cooneys videos and think.. well, she's healthy and dancing and singing so mom's full of it. So infuriating.
Skinny influencers should be banned as should morbidly obese influencers. Both are absolutely unhealthy

Wow, so she’s finally reached mainstream media’s eyes. A couple years ago the calls for her to get help actually reached her and she got off the platform and actually gained a little weight. But then she came back online and now denies that even happened. She actively avoids any criticism that promoting her anorexia is bad for her health and the health of her followers. The only way to stop her is for her to be banned on virtually all social media platforms until she gets help.
I feel bad for her, but also she’s 29, almost 30. She knows exactly what she’s doing and while I don’t think she’s a bad person, I do think her reckless behavior will lead to other people getting very sick and dying. She needs to be removed.
