I started a support group of adolescents born with HIV in 2016 and pill fatigue is sooo real. These adolescents have been taking medication their whole lives and it really does take a toll on them. Thanks for this video and thanks for the reminder 'we live to fight another day'

Hey. Don't you know such support systems for adolescents born with HIV. I am a nurse by profession and have a beautiful niece who is in her adolescents, she is taking her treatment well but I feel like she can use support system or seeing that there are some of her peers who go through what she is going through. If I could, I would take her status and carry the burden for her.
I just want to make her life more easier

This is so informative Sisi. Last part is when you say you need to give the person peace of your mind but then you say it is better to move on and heal. This is forgiveness I preach for you to heal and get better. Unforgiving as another things that cause unnecessary stress. 💕❤️

I absolutely love how transparent and vulnerable you are in your videos, you're genuinely so authentic and refreshing. I am negative but have often been on the end of being judgemental and selfish expecting people to fight even when they were tired. My uncles also passed from cancer, so did my grandpa. This changed my perspective entirely

My 17 year old cousin was born HIV positive. Her Mom told her when she was 15 and up until then, she was taking her meds well. The problem started when she turned 16 I believe. She stopped taking her meds and now her health is deteriorating and she's starting to develop sores all over her body and in her mouth so she can't eat and she's losing weight drastically. Things got so bad last year December that her Mom started to actually bathe her. I love her so much and I just want her to be ok. She actually told me that she's tired of taking treatment because she's been doing it all her life. Guys ke kgathetse hle. I've even resorted to bribing her with metarial things just for her to take her treatment but dololo help.
      I just wanted to vent😭😭

@@molebohengmoletsane1297 its good showing concern and empathy.
There are times i declined taking meds due to frustrations so its good to encourage her and show love. She may end up turning negative.

      Peace to your family.

I really needed this. I carried the burden 4 14 yrs that I was not enough 4 my mum to take the pills to stay alive, even just 4 me (her only child). I also know on my more mature days that it was not about me, and it was her choice, for her life... still sad. However listening to u could give me a tiny incline of her mindset at the time... I miss her... but it was her decision to make... even though it feels like the wrong one (being the 1 left behind all alone)... ur a shinning star and so is ur hubby

And this is the part you don't hear in the HIV/AIDS discussions. Sometimes I think that if my friend had told me he was dealing with this I could have encourage him to take his medication and keep living. His first wife passed almost 10 years before him. They had 4 children. He passed it on to his 2nd wife who is undetectable. He just gave up and stopped taking the pills. Maybe it was the daily reminder the pill(s) would bring. I'll never know.
It pains me when I hear people say, "Oh, it's treatable. I'll just take a pill." They don't realize that that's a pill until further notice. Furter notice may be a loooong time for most. I'd rather not. Know your status. Know the status of your partner. Stay safe out here.

Tjo! You are so strong! You are powerful. I could see the pain and passion when you were talking about your experience. This is another layer that people never talk about or think about. I hope to God that I am not going to sound like I am stigmatising, but a lot of young people are engaging in risky sexual behaviour because they think if they get HIV, they can simply take pills and live long healthy lives. This is not a walk in the park and I wish love, power and light to everyone going through this journey

Thanks beloved , Ve3 good communication skill, l really applaud hands for the courage to help others with this valuable information. You need to start a foundation sothat this knowledge will be impacted to those affected and infected physically, emotionally, and even psychologically., You have vast knowledge and information which needs to be known by others, because in hospitals there isn't enough time to reinforce effective communication.

I sat next to my friends bed begging her to take her pills, while trying to keep my voice down because if her family heard they would have shouted at her. I did not understand her sometime, but i was always on her side, i didn't want her to be shouted at. So i came up with an idea of grinding them into a powdery for so she can atleast drink them.

Four years later still healing and chose to keep it to myself than sharing with family and seeing that person sometimes brings the flash backs of betrayal in the most unexpected way!

I love watching you. I'm working at the clinic and try to support people even though I'm not a nurse. I sometimes help those ask me to bring them their treatment but the problem I'm experiencing is that some start thinking that you taking treatment as well. For me it's easy to try and support as my mum was always open about HIV please help me

I do not have HIV but I know about taking alot of meds daily.
I'm a diabetic I take 3 different injectable meds and 8 pills a day and it is a headache but must be done for me anyway.
I also lost my mother from lung cancer so I know what you went thru.
I test for HIV every year and I am not active in a relationship but i do it anyway.
I will pray for you and all that have HIV.
