Thanks for your effort. Always a delight. I would have such a hard time, by choosing the ten most shaping albums. Obviously there are beatles, hendrix, floyd, allman brothers, ccr, dylan, jethro tull, marley, nirvana, pj, etc... That inspired me. But as i thought about it, dylans soundtrack to "pat garret" is probably my most shaping. Heard when i was a little boy in my fathers car, and still, whenever the theme opens,... It allways catches me. So even when i'm more into rock, because rock is dad, my own sounds are based heavily on that special album.

There's a lot of albums that have shaped me, not as a musician, but as a person (if that makes some kind of sense). "The Wall", "Unknown Pleasures", "Jimi Hendrix Experience" and "Rubber Soul" are the ones I listened to at constant repeat as a kid thanks to my parents, along with some other artists. Jamiroquai is practically my childhood icon haha. Another album I always listened to was "Film - Live in Kulušić" since they were one of the biggest bands in my country. That's basically it.
All good except Nevermind was mixed by Andy Wallace, not Butch Vig. And it was actually Kurt's decision, not the label's. Funny how he hated or pretended to hate the commercial sound of it afterwards. It's a really cool mix. Very powerful. He did something to the drums I guess. Grohl's power enhanced with studio effects is what made this record sound so powerful!

Have not done it so far, but any musician's output who llikes Axis that much should be listened to. Felt a slight disappointment compared to Are You Experienced, a pretty hard uncompromising rocking one, except for the art work, much better, as the cover picture on the first album was still ( ? don't know if it was the only one) that dreadful picture of the three of them on a ugly green background. I'll have to get that other yellowish vinyl album also one day. At the time i listened to Pixies, Dinosaur Jr, Pearl Jam, Ween, Primal Scream, Smashing Pumpkins, , Sonic Youth so Nirwana was not that much of a thing for me. Lots of us were rather surprised they got to be the frontmen of alternative rock ("they are pretty good but not better then ....".)
bit late but mine are Abbey Road Let it be In Utero ...And Justice For All Born To Run Waiting for the Sun Dark side of the Moon Master of Puppets Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J Wheels of Fire
For me, it'd be - London Calling - The Ramones - The Velvet Underground & Nico - Beggars Banquet - The Mollusk (Ween) - Sell Out - Raw Power - The Dark Side of the Moon (my 2nd favorite Floyd album, but it was my fav for a long time) - Come On Pilgrim - Incesticide

Have not done it so far, but any musician's output who llikes Axis that much should be listened to.
Felt a slight disappointment compared to Are You Experienced, a pretty hard uncompromising rocking one,
except for the art work, much better, as the cover picture on the first album was still ( ? don't know if it was the only one)
that dreadful picture of the three of them on a ugly green background.
Apologize once again!
Your taste is immaculate 🙌🙌🙌🌕🌔🌓🌒🌑🙌
