Hi Dave, are you running just the carbon filter or both? I've had one of these for a about a year now, works pretty well. Probably get close to the same sun/dust you do, I'm in La Mesa.
I removed the cloth inner filter and have the thick paper filter under the carbon filter. The carbon filter seems to be picking up most of the dust. Scripps Ranch.
Nice Shop upgrade Dave, Its easy to forget about what we are breathing in and working with like various Oils, DyKem, Dust particles etc. Especially for a newbie. This is a good reminder to be careful and something to add to my shop upgrade list. Thanks for sharing the install.
I run it every day and it's running right now. I run the carbon filters because I'm a smoker and the shop fills with smoke so the wife doesn't like it. I am extremely happy with it. It points across the shop, so a slight wind blows across the lathe and mill keeping fumes and tiny airborne particles away from me.
Hello Dave, Looks like a nice bit of kit... I would like something like that but with the amount of dust from the joiners downstairs I think it would not cope.... Take care. Paul,,
Hahaha..... Dust...... Since the vacuum was dedicated to "the shop" not much was done else ware. .... Pick it up when it disturbs me.... Do as I, move the shop into the house, the kitchen and the the car will not be polluted!... My car is sitting safely down in the parking, 3 floors down and 3000 feet away... Joking! The computer is sitting in the "store", the living room, in range of the telly and by a 17 feet cable connected to the shop! What is the source of the dust storm You experience? Your machining? Joking! Time 05:00 That is an odd hoover.... Time 05:35. You're really hot on that thing. No time to put it on the bench in order to to see..... Just did some fault finding on a fiber internet box, mounted close to the floor. The pain in the neck is still there.... No dust any ware... Great! Does that magic box transform dust to oxygen and nitrogen? Magic.... Or? No dustbin to empty? Cheers Dave, just sent You an email, Stefan

Absolutely
Got one 5 years ago. Works well, time auto-off. But filters are expensive in Canada
Thanks for the video keep on keeping on.
Always!
Thanks for the review Dave. How is the unit working for you currently? Are you still running the carbon filters? Excellent idea, thank you so much.

Or maybe Wen win?
When you get zap don't complain
If it somehow manages to short to the frame, I wouldn't know it because the only way to touch it is from my fiberglass ladder. So no can get zapped!
