- John and Ace's extraordinary journey began when they impulsively bought a lion cub from Harrods in London. They named him Christian and raised him in their flat, but as he grew, they faced the challenging decision to release him into the wild. With the help of a conservationist, Christian was rehabilitated in Kenya's Kora National Reserve. Four years later, despite warnings that Christian wouldn't remember them, John and Ace returned to Africa to see their friend again. Suddenly, a majestic lion appeared on a distant hill. As Christian bounded towards them, tension mounted. Would he recognize his old friends or see them as intruders? The lion’s reaction will make you cry!

Ok, I cried!😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤
great amazing love it.
This story is so old! I read it over 20 years ago.
An awesome achievement
They went back to see Christian twice. The dates don’t quite match here but there is a brilliant film about the full story with interviews with Ace & John many years after too that has some fantastic original film footage in from the reunions. It’s a seriously good watch if you can find it. I guess the film’s about 15 years old now
I would've moved there to be closer to him. Christian might've gotten killed early for all they didn't know.. I would've had to be there It's so sad for these lions in general, kicked out of their own prides by a certain age, cbot knowing where to go, poor Christian was only one lion without brothers or sisters with him. I cried immensely over this story. Still get teary-eyed thinking about it. Too many other lions would already take up half the territories so I can't help but think that Christian got killed by other lion brothers😢😂. I hope not, but, he's only one male, other lions might've had more male brothers with them, and that could've been the end for Christian. I love you Christian❤❤❤
