Many thanks, I've been looking for "how do i make candles" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Cenadoelyn Candle Contemplation - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my neighbour got amazing results with it.
Many thanks, I've been looking for "candle making at home video" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Peyaniel Psychological Predominance - (do a search on google ) ? It is a great one of a kind product for discovering the trick to be a candle maker for profit minus the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my neighbour got amazing success with it.
I recently turned into a wax-melt-junky and I wondered what to do with the "spent" melted wax. Well, I saved it all in a bucket, chopped it into pieces and made candles like you did in this video, using melted, spent, wax melts to pour around the spent chunks. It still has some scent and it's multicolored and beautiful. Thanks for the video...it gave me the idea.
@@redeemed3856 Just so you know, I'm not picky about how my candles burn. I never bother with finding which wicks work best for which sizes, etc, so they don't burn as perfectly as a "good" candle, but they smell good and burn...ok. I have made LOTS of skull candles out of this wax and it burns pretty quickly and drips and pools like a MOFO... so I burn them outside on big rocks and such. It's quite spooky and, I think the drips are lovely.
If you place the dirty jar in the microwave for about 30 seconds or so, all the wax melts and you can just wipe it all away. Even the black burnt stuff comes right off. Make sure to remove the metal wick holder before putting the jar in the microwave ☺
When I recycle jars that contained wax I put hot water in the jar and put a metal spoon inside so the hot water doesn't crack the glass then add detergent and then scrub everything out cleans it out a treat and pretty fast😀
Thank you so much for this video!! I just made a delicious, what I call, 'Hazelnut Cinnamon Cream' candle using old wax and some wax melts. Love it!! And so fun and easy. And for anyone who doesn't have a double boiler, you can take an old, clean coffee can and set it in a larger pot with water ;) worked great.
Wow this is cool I think wax melts are too costly my mom has a bunch around the house I love the smell but it takes to long to burn and I don't think they make really good ones yet I live candles and I wanted to melt down my wax and shape them into things but I find this cooler lol
What if u don't have soy wax or the wooden stick and metal piece all I have is a glass jar and tons of wax melt because my little light bulbs for my plug ins keep going out and I'm tired of buying skinny bulbs they are hard to find what else can I do
No Tawra, my husband drives me crazy taking off labels, band aids and the instruction leaflets with anything we purchase. Let alone the guarantee. What can you do ? I think it is a compulsion with him !
Wax melts aren't flammable and can't be used as candles. That's what the web says.... So maybe your mixing regular wax with the wax melts.... That could work because the regular wax would melt the wax melts.
I'm going to try this because I've seen videos that show you how to make firestarters out of old wax melts. If they can be used as firestarters, maybe they would work as recycled candles.

I like the candles you made. Easy instructions. But, I could have done with out you cleaning and washing the jar.
Lol!!

This is really helpful. I couldn't find information anywhere about whether or not wax melts were fine to use in regular candles.
Was melts say on the package for use with wax warmers only
@Small Town Global 10% what?

Me too! That's how I got to this video 😂

Yeah I forgot to mention that it was already warmed up. This was pretty stuck on, not sure why.
@@HowToMakeSoapOnADime ha noob get good lol i am superior
Beware it gets VERY HOT very quickly!
Im curious could you have just melted down the wax melts and fill the jar with the liquidified wax melts?
I have so many wax melts and I prefer candles over my wax warmer. This is my project today 😀
When I recycle jars that contained wax I put hot water in the jar and put a metal spoon inside so the hot water doesn't crack the glass then add detergent and then scrub everything out cleans it out a treat and pretty fast😀

Love, love, love your candle! Please do more videos on making candles from leftover bits and pieces!
I dont have any proper wicks, is there any way i could make one?

Walmart has some really cheap wax melts.
Dollar general and walmart have wax melts for 97 cents to 1 dollar to 2 dollars and wax melts say on the package for use with wax warmers only
That sounds cool what do you mean by shaping it maybe you should do a UA-cam video and show and tell
Wish you showed more footage of it burning at the end! That was interesting! 😘
Hello- Did the candle produce the fragrance of the wax melts?
Pretty
try scrubbing your jar out with baking soda, or rub with alcohol...for the burned gunk
How long will the wood Wicks burn and do they come in different sizes also where did you get those could I use a popsicle stick
I don't know for sure but mine went a long time!
What if u don't have soy wax or the wooden stick and metal piece all I have is a glass jar and tons of wax melt because my little light bulbs for my plug ins keep going out and I'm tired of buying skinny bulbs they are hard to find what else can I do
I like your idea Tawra I was thinking of using a candle inside it should work.
that's hilarious i'm making coffee as i was watching this video and i didn't even hear your son making some in the bg of your video lmao
When I melted my old wax, I had a big glob of slimy stuff mixed in with the wax. I had to fish it out before I poured it in the jar!
Interesting. I have no idea what that could be.
That looks easy to do and very good.
Would it be okay to use the wax melts and then turn them into a candle?
I have wax melts and candles and on the package for wax melts it tells you for use with wax warmers only
Wax from wax melts is the same thing as candle wax. So you can absolutely use them.
@star wolf It says that because they don’t want people putting them into improper warming device’s such as an essential oil warmer.
I can just heat this over a double burner and get the same result as long as I keep an eye on the heat then put it into the jar, that would work to???
??? what material is your wicks made from I see it looks like wood if you could list your supplies you use
Wood but I don't like them.
Good idea never thought if wax melts..Thanks for sharing.
Kute nice Valentine's day gift especially the colors and frangance you said it was Vanilla and Cherry
What a great idea for using up those wax melts! So does it smell good?
Yes it smells really good.
No Tawra, my husband drives me crazy taking off labels, band aids and the instruction

Now i know what thats for i seen thise almost in every store in the candle section.
Ailema Gonzalez technically they are are for wax burners but you can make new candles with them
OMG Tawra I am a label hater too.............I hate labels on clothes too, must cut them off as soon as I get them home!!!
glad the jar cleaned up lol close one
What are you pouring in the jar with the wax melts
More melted wax.
Obsesssssedddd
where do you buy the wicks?
Place old candle containers into the freezer over night the wax will just pop out of the container.
So do you need to buy soy wax to do this project?
To get left over wax out of jar you put it in freezer for 15 minutes then it slides out

Use un-do for the sticker remover!!!
A little vinegar will get it out quick
🥱🥱🥱🥱
what is the noise in the background????
It's the wax melting in boiling water. :-)
Sounds like it's popping
Ion like it
