    I appreciate you taking the time to make this video as I’m about to do the “first” burn in my stove since it’s assembled.

    Nick clearly explains the difference between primary, secondary and tertiary air in this video.
    Waterford has a large cooking only kitchen stove. I would like to see Nick apply his genius to a tiny stove for cooking only.

    people should learn the top/bottom methode. stack the bigger logs on the bottom. a bit smaller on top of that and then build a stack cross patern with kindling. by the time you're halfway this video you could got your stove burning already and dont have to look at it for another 45-60min

      We agree! This video is more about starting and maintaining a fire throughout the day but we describe the upside-down method in our Overnight Burn Video here: ua-cam.com/video/Uwgg_lX443Y/v-deo.html

    This is a really helpful video. A question I have is, what to do if your temperature gets too hot? My solution has been to open back up all the air controls, and even sometimes open the door wide and just let the fire cool off a bit, but maybe theres a better approach?

      Your door should be sealed enough so that a fire will burn down and the stove will cool off if all air controls are closed. If you still get a hot burning fire for a time after you closed all air controls, you might have to check your gasket and adjust your door handle for a proper seal. Take a look at this video on how to do that: ua-cam.com/video/e5_V9UNEB3s/v-deo.html

    I’m hoping to have money together to buy the large model and the fresh air intake by February. Does your company offer coupons codes or sales? Certain holiday sales? I’m also looking at getting the oven top after that when it comes available too! Excited! Any idea when that might come in? 😆🙌🏼🔥 Regular 5” flue systems work with it? What type of hose do I use from the fresh air intake? Thanks for the demos and your time.

      Hi Phoenix! we don't have any sales planned at this point, but you can sign up for our newsletter and be the first to know if one comes up! www.tinywoodstove.com/sale-signup/

    I didn’t see him demonstrate how to open the bottom air controls, and the manual doesn’t offer this detail either. Do you pull the knobs out for open and push in for closed?

    • @tinywoodstove
      @tinywoodstove  Рік тому

      Yes, you pull them out for more air and push them in for less. The left knob is the primary and feeds air into the bottom of the firebox. The right knob is for secondary air and it feeds air into the top of the chamber.

    what was the real burn length in this video? 😀

    What is the max log length that will fit in this stove?

    • @tinywoodstove
      @tinywoodstove  2 роки тому

      That depends on which size stove you have! The Dwarf 3kW burns chunks of wood 6-8", the 4kW 8-10", and the 5kW 10-12" 🔥

    Break n burn too expensive. I use newspapers and tree bark or kindling sticks then add the smaller chunks then like you bigger chunks

    Have you ever thought about getting a left handed chainsaw?

    Of course, safety first: gloves, goggles, ear plugs with chain saw and axe!
