I still have my old Corcorans (1 pair of the Classics, and 1 pair of the II's -- much easier to break in!), but I'm sure happy I no longer have to mess with them all the time! The TX ANG unit I retired from allowed us to wear roper-style boots with our Class A and B uniforms (I had the Justin kipskins), and they took a very nice shine as well and were nice and warm in the winter. They looked like low quarters until you raised your trouser legs. G. Mark Caldwell LtCol (RN), USAFR (Ret.)
heres someone who spent 30mins per boot.simple really. clean boot,moderately apply layer of polish to boot, add small amount of water to boot surface, medium pressure circles till u have a brush shine...repeat the process. the more layers the more gloss you get....
@LateNightCable I feel like that's relatively common, the places that bend the least on the boot or shoe are more easily shined into a mirror. The same thing happens on my service dress shoes for the air force
NICE JOB MAN!!! I cant do that to my Brown Jump boots as someone I bought them from had put a lighter too close to the Toe Cap.....I have to take them to a shoe repair place and see if they can fix it....BUT it sure as hell does a nice job for shine...just not a mirror shine.
I'm not doing anything wrong, Jack. I have no inspection, I'm not a military bitch in boot camp trying to prove to a drill sergeant that I have self discipline through my ability to polish boots. In fact I have cleaner boots than every uniformed military guy I come across. I just do not prefer a mirror shine, and have no obligation to polish by own boots that way, simple as that. And my boots ROCK harder, ha!
@fdfvdfify I just think it's odd, because it looks uneven, which it is. I polish my entire boot, although not to such a mirror luster, so I have no problems with flaking.
It is because of the built up layers that it flakes off where it bends if you are not polishing to such a high mirror luster then YOU are doing it wrong. you may keep your evenly un-shined boots to yourself. If you two were standing at attention in an inspection,the man's boots in the video would pass over yours. "And that's a fact,Jack!" Sorry,you may dislike them all you wish, it will not change the truth, his boots ROCK!
I wish air force didnt phase out their BDU's, i wouldve worn PJ boots like those with them! plus i hate wearing low quarters cuz with those boots i wouldnt have to shine the entire boot, unlike low quarters which gotta be reflective shine like that =\
What makes you a countryman, when you don't respect the ones IN uniform? Honest question. Everyone in the military swore an oath to protect even people like you, because it is a free country and even YOU have the right to be free and speak your mind, which you have and put both un-polished boots in it at the same time. ALL of those people in the military have something called HONOR, you...............have none! I've wasted more than enough time here, goodbye.
Any soldier would be proud to wear such boots. They are a work of love.

Yep, spit shine is for toe and heel only. If you try that on the rest of the boot it will flack and crack.

Are they comfortable

@LateNightCable
Its actually not, not in the military anyway
Nice job, but the toe and heel have more shine than the rest of the boot. A little odd.
