  • This is a dual-action, gravity feed, 3 in 1 NEOECO NCT-SJ83B Airbrush Review and quick #testing.
You can find similar, but not exactly the same packing here:
    amzn.to/41sYgSQ
In the video you can find a Bonus Testing of another NEOECO /HD180S/ airbrush, about which you can read more here:
    dnmodels.com/all/neoeco-airbr...
Both abovementioned #NEOECO SJ83 and HD180S are decent airbrushes, especially considering the price. With that in mind, if you ask about my recommendations, this is a good entry level gun, but it possesses qualities significantly inferior to my main tools:
    Iwata: amzn.to/44IIFBe
    Mr.Hobby: amzn.to/3M8j3GC
Those two however, are not the best for initial #airbrush.
Hope that this helps in your search for new tool!

Out of the box this Airbrush will lay smooth as silk Kandy effects and mirror finish chrome layers with no issues at all. Iwata and H&S are for illustrating with the ability to general paint and there's a big difference in fine lines not to be half heartedly compared to brushes made for general painting trying to fine line. The needles in this kit can be easily steeped up to Iwata or H&S with some simple polishing and work. But for general painting of models and such you only the cheaper brushes. This Airbrush has replaced my Patriot 105 and Eclipse brushes as my new general purpose work horse and after the needle work done it works just as well as the other 2 in every way.
for $32 you can't beat this brush if you are just painting Miniatures, models, Gundam and such. If you are an illustrator then an Iwata or H&S out of the box will be your need.

I do have this one with 0.3mm setup, received it for free because of the product complaint (bent needle+ dried paint in the whole AB), very comfortable to hold it and it's rather a good quality one as for chinese AB. There is no brand name on it but it's NeoEco NCT-SJ83 for 100%

Super happy with mine! I bought the chrome-plated 9 cc cup as I find them easier to clean. This one has replaced my Iwata and I use it along with my Sparmax 0.2.

I’ve seen others review this airbrush and they had instructions in the box along with a parts list and diagram. Not sure what happened to yours. The others had a different box too.

Does anyone know what type of thread is used for the paint cups? I was wondering if I could use a different paint cup

Was hoping to hear reviews on the clean up process
From the looks of it, that cup is on a matte finish. Having doubts on getting it as it be too much of a pain to clean it when switching colors

No issues what so ever. It is possible to have some in time, but that is speculation on my end.
And flushing the airbrush with those large plastic containers filled with IPA is a breeze. Probably won't need disassembly for quite some time.

you;re concerns are well founded. acrylic is a complete pain in the ass to clean up. not just the anodized matte cup but the inward lip of the cup, the deep shaft of the threaded connector, the valley that the needle sits in, and the very deep nozzle. there's O rings on everything to seal up the milling slop. trigger is tight and jerky. worst of all there is something odd about the flow dynamics of the gun that makes spot detailing or even mottling very unreliable like it needs a bunch of paint pushing down behind it to get a flow even at filtering or shading thinned ratios. completely forget about doing single drops in the cup painting, it just won't move the paint. the 3 needles all seem to be the same just with different diameter nozzles having tried them out in all the variations. this is a backup 3rd brush if detail is your game. stick on the big cup and base with it at best.

There is another model made by the same company, for the exact same price, but one major difference in this other model is that it has a tension adjuster for the trigger, which would allow you to loosen up the trigger so it won't feel tight and jerky to you.
I can't place a link that leads outside of YT in my comments, otherwise YT pulls some shady crap on me, where any comment I post which contains a link to anywhere outside of YT's website, they will censor my comment. The nefarious thing is though, in no manner do they ever inform me that my comment is censored, or that they do not allow outside links, which seems like doing so would be not only common courtesy, but it would inform the user of the reason behind their comment being censored, which would help to avoid future censorship. Worse yet, as long as I'm logged into my account, under which I had posted a comment which eventually became censored for containing an outside link, from that account perspective, it would appear that my comment had successfully posted, and is present for all users to see and read.
However, if you go back to said comment, and attempt to edit it, or reply to it, you will receive some error message about how that request could not be currently completely, and to try again later. No, it does not inform you that your comment doesn't actually exist, and that is why you can neither edit it, nor reply to it, and further, as if pouring salt into your wounds, they even suggest that you try again later!!!
If you log out of your account, and visit the comment section where your comment appears to be posted, you won't see it there, and the same is true if you log into a different account. If you want to determine if your comment has been censored, and only your eyes can see it, or if it actually posted successfully for all users to see, read, and reply to, then there is one method you can use to discover the state of your comment without logging out of your account, or browsing through numerous comments.
Go to your History page. Near the top left corner of most pages on UA-cam, just to the left of YT's logo, there is a hamburger menu, or collapsed menu icon, the icon which appears as three horizontal bars. Click on that icon, then the second clickable tab in the second section of the dropdown menu is labelled "History", click it and you will land on your History page, defaulting to your Watch history. On the right side of the screen, there will be a column of options, and the second from the bottom is labelled "Comments". Clicking on that option will open a myactivity Google page listing your recent comments from most recent to oldest. Obviously, if you are using your comment history to check on the state of one of your posted comments, you will need it to be a somewhat recent comment, at least in regards to how frequently you post comments, or you will need to know the exact date of posting the comment, or within a day or two of it. This will help you find your comment . . . maybe. If your comment was not censored, and is visible to all users, then you will see your comment listed in your comment history. However, if it has been censored, then your comment will not appear in your comment history.
I can somewhat understand how allowing users to post links leading outside of UA-cam's website, which could be anywhere, eventually became a security concern for YT, and so their logical response was just to ban all links leading anywhere outside of YT. I don't agree with it, and view it as an incredibly lazy solution, but at least I can somewhat understand their thought process in reaching said solution. Regardless, what the hell is the deal with not informing users that, "Hey, your posted comment was censored, and nobody can see it.", and then explaining to those who have been censored as to why they were censored?? Instead, they fail to mention a single word about your comment being censored, and further, they appear to intentionally mislead you into believing that your comment had successfully posted, and anybody visiting that particular comment section would be able to interact with your comment. Why would YT apparently mislead their users, with definitive intent, to such a degree as to create an illusion for most users, causing them to perceive reality other than it really is by hiding their censoring of their users' comments? Something seems off, and rotten in the state of Denmark!!!
Sorry about the scenic route tangent, but it pisses me off! Anyway, what I was ultimately aiming to communicate was a means of providing a link to that other NEOECO that has a tension adjustment for the trigger/lever. Below is a link to another YT video of a creator reviewing that airbrush, and there is a link in his video description that leads to a page where you can read more about this airbrush, and you can order it if you so desire.

That airbrush looks like the older model not the sj93. Look at the gold, in fact look at the picture on the box and look at the airbrush you're using.
