The inner monologues in this scene in specific are so funny to me because they don't really accomplish anything. L knows that is human nature to go for the win and still he's like "oh, so you're going for the win, huh?"
u can rlly tell how power crazy Light has become in this episode, confidently lying to his own father, while also knowing he wouldn't mind making decisions ab the kira investigation that would b at his father's expense, especially when he is only thinking ab how to outsmart L while his dad is literally in a hospital bed
I'm loving your reactions to this series so far! Two things about this episode I think are worth mentioning: The heart attack that chief Yagami experienced is indeed implied to be real, both due to the fact that he lived afterward whereas inflicting a heart attack via the death note can only result in death per the rules of the notebook, and also due to the sheer stress chief Yagami must be under... being a man of strict justice and a sound moral compass having to wrestle with the thoughts of his own son being a mass murderer. The other thing of note is a question I'd like to ask of you: While Ryuk says most humans who come into contact with a Shinigami have nothing but misfortune, Light smiles and says he has no intention of continuing that pattern. Seeing as we've already witnessed Light manipulating Ryuk and using his presence to his advantage, such as mentioning Raye Penber following him or seeking out the cameras, do you believe he will actually succeed in breaking the pattern of misfortune? Or, despite his tactics and manipulation, do you think he'll find himself in misfortune anyway?
If Light didn't want to kill L, then his winning condition would be to just not associate with L whatsoever and even to stop killing, but that's not his goal. His goal is to end all opposition to him and end all crime entirely. It can be argued that every investigator that is trying to track him down or just trying to get job security. They don't really care about the state of the world.
Oh my god! Rewatching this made me realize something. I can’t believe I never noticed it before. I don’t want to say what it is because I don’t want to spoil it for Jared and Jordan. But it’s when L and Light were talking to each other in the coffee shop. Light had a slip up.
This is not spoilers although you both already seen the next couple episodes, the heart attack was real and wasn't something planned. Episode 11 is when sht hits the fan and gets wild, you ready for that roller coaster of emotional twists turns and loops?! It gets very dark
Light (how do you like the symbolism of the name, by the way?) is extremely rational, considers himself right and strictly moves towards a “higher” goal. Would you like to see, within the same show, how things would have turned out if the Death Note had fallen into the hands of someone more emotional? less insidious? or maybe on the contrary - pursuing some purely personal motives (revenge, power, wealth, etc.)?
@@Fang1st They said "share the painz" and the Netflix one was the most painful one, so I assume they mean the Netflix one. Technically, there are 7 live action Death Notes I believe.
idk if haikyu is a short anime but once u guys finish that u should start parasyte: the maxim ‼️ that lineup would be sooo insane aot, death note, & parasyte 😱😱😱
I was and always will be team Kira... I do believe what he does is great, and as they said in an earlier episode, it brought down a lot the actual crimes... so criminals, afraid for their lives, hid under the rock. That is indeed awesome! If you want something similar to Deathnote's type (so going into psychological and investigative things), you should try Monster.

The internal monologues during the tennis match are just: *Chef's Kiss*🤌🤌🤌

I hope the next anime they would watch is monster bc monster and death note are the goat of psychological anime

noone ever catches the fact Ryuk dodged the tennis ball despite, you know, being impossible to kill and it could just pass through him
Everyone catches that and chuckles while not thinking it’s worth talking about.
@@technofsfsfsfs why would it be worst talking about anyways lol

I like your reaction to this episode because you watch more continuously without break and pause less.
God I love these reactions to this show. Its only gunna ramp up from here.
In the most respectful way, L is so autistic-coded and it's awesome.
As an autistic person, I agree😊
I know this was 8 months ago But To confirm L is British if you search it up 😅

Honestly, I was always team Ryuk just enjoying the show and not being fond of either of the extremes :D.
Can't wait for the next episodes it on ly gets better!!
With how similar L & Light are I have wondered if they are twins in some way
When sub ? 😢
Dub is better imo
@@jaydee5312nah, they mess L up
@@jaydee5312 It’s good, but it’s definitely not “better”
For funsies, watch the live action death note after and share the painz
Which one? The good one or the netflix one?

Haikyuu has 4 seasons, so they're more likely to finish death note first
