Oh, & that "Able-Chair" is a micro-forklift without the forks. It's not all THAT revolutionary. Give us the hover-chair Professor X uses in the 1990's animated X-Men cartoon & make it able to elevate to 5' off the ground. THAT would be revolutionary.

I’d love an able chair but I bet they’re way out my price range, mobility transport scooters wheelchairs etc are all extremely expensive. I have a TGA Vita x an it was over £5k.

    Hello,
My name is Bridget, I live in France and I really liked your model of Green Buggy.
    You ask for our suggestions:
This is the kind of small electric vehicle that I would like to be able to acquire for relatively short trips, such as : Shopping at the Supermarket, Medical appointments, going to the Park, going to the Cinema, etc ...
So I was thinking of an electric model that could take two people, fully covered, with doors and lockable locker (security required in France) with a slightly lower seat than a minivan, but accessible to people with reduced mobility. Air conditioning would be helpful.
In the end, imagine a small minivan, smaller, shorter, without the rear seats, but with a trunk and the technical advantages of a current car. I hope that my vision for the ideal electric car for two will be clear enough in my descriptions and that maybe you can create it, that's all I hope for.
Good luck to the whole team for the rest of your creations.
Know that if you succeed in creating a mini car corresponding to the criteria that I tried to explain to you, I would be proud to be the first buyer of this model, because in France, innovations in this field are slowing down. 🚗 🤗 🚗 Sincerely, Bridget

    Bonjour,
    Bien Cordialement, Bridget

An exposed rotor is not going to market. Build it yourself as experimental, you can chop off your own body parts however, entry or exit next to swinging lawnmower blades and commercial insurance are mutually exclusive. Future smaller aircraft with wings will be required a failsafe parachute system if it flies over neighborhoods.
Also if you crash your flying wherever into my house while I'm working, live, killing my family I will stuff your a$$ in a wood chipper.

Ok. Just because something has an electric motor doesn't make it an "electric vehicle." These are BATTERY-POWERED vehicles. An ELECTRIC vehicle is something like the bumper cars you see at a fair, where the electricity is fed to the cars from the ceiling, or an electric train, or the trolley cars that used to be everywhere & now only exist in San Francisco. (Here in Wilmington, North Carolina, we have a "Downtown Trolley," but that's a trolley car that was converted to a bus.) Something that is constantly fed electricity, & doesn't need "recharging." There is no difference between these vehicles & something you'd get from Radio Shack a decade ago - outside of the scale & lack of remote control. Now, the Steam-Electric hybrid PAM (Perpetual ACTIVE Motion) system I came up with IS an electric vehicle, because it generates its OWN electricity & doesn't need charging at all. (Except only in the instance of leaving it sit for more than a week, but then you just need about $3.50 worth of electricity added to your home electric bill to jumpstart it.) The only thing you'd need to add to it every so often is water, & the way I have it set up that might only be once a month almost regardless of how far you drive it. THAT is an electric vehicle, & hopefully the future of transportation & logistics - since the engine is scalable to be used in semis & on trains & even airplanes. THESE are just adult toys - a good number of which I wouldn't allow on the street if I had anything to say about it because of their short ranges.

Apparently most people never heard of the Baker Electric car company from the early 1900’s. Electric cars are part of the past and maybe the future. Electric cars are limited by the batteries. Building them is an environmentally dirty process and disposal is even worse. Range is an issue. Run out of gas and you can get a gallon from AAA or whoever. It is harder to get a KW of electricity brought to your car. I know these issues can be overcome but we aren’t there yet.

What if you have a rooftop solar panel? What about the dirty, unhealthy emissions coming from gas vehicles. Which of the two do you feel is more harmful overall? Also, electric cars cost less to maintain because of less moving parts and less that can go wrong. I believe EV's around 1/3 the price to operate. Batteries have warranties on average of 8 years. Several electric car models have everything from recycled plastic bottles to old appliances used in body and interior. I don't know a single person who drives an electric car. So why do you reckon pretty much every car manufacturer has jumped on the EV train?

The first novel I read was a sci-fi by Arthur C. Clark called Islands in the Sky. The story is of a teen who wins a trip to anywhere on earth provided by the contest’s sponsor, an airline company. He chose the inner station, a space station just within the bounds of the earth as defined by the story’s version of the U.N.
It was an epic book for a child and it kindled a love of sci-fi that has never waned.
Sooooo yes, if I won a trip to an inflatable habitat, I would not hesitate for a second!

SEV trike - they should have gone with a tadpole design.
DC TRI - interesting and fun looking - I like the stand up option - more of a toy, rear wheels too small for practical on the street transportation.
Ablechair - great, anything that can help with mobility for physically impaired I love - but they show it on grass and I would suggest it is not great idea as those thin small front wheels will sink on soft turf
Stealth EV ATV - awesome, I love being out in the trails but the noisy machines always put a damper on it - I would love to try one of these out - cant wait for battery tech to improve.
Zero -- good range of 328km on there 18kw version -- but a little pricey and I am a liking 3 wheel stuff like the Arcimoto these days that are just more practical.
Zero street thing -- modified XU - definitely looks better than the stock XU
Toyota Iroad -- love the look but has an gas engine - should be electric!!
Cora -- very interesting - practical vertical take off and landing - when batteries get better these things will be very popular IMHO
Kymco - again, I like 3 wheeler - but good luck to them as I applaud all electric efforts
Bolt - bolt mini looks really practical and I like the stand up better than sit down - I sit down at work so want to get on my feet and not walk LOL - but does not look available on web page, only the regular one an it is sold out for now.
Jetson - still in prototype stage -- good luck to them - and I would not get one without a ballistic parachute which might get mandated to bring to market.
VW buggy -- love it - hope it comes to market
Robinson EV Heli - congrats on the conversion but I think Heli's have seen their day now with EV VTOL air-planes coming out now.
VEEMO - just awesome idea and great looking product - this is a pedal assist so we get hearts pumping a little faster which lots of us need -- would love to try one. Looks like they are only targeting "no snow" area's for now.
Kulan - very interesting - I hope they make it easier to get in and out of than it currently looks - and anyone that has been to a farm knows those will not be the tires that go on them !!

This is all really a joke. Can you imagine if the Carrington Event happened today? I am going to give you some information you probably don't care about but hey maybe someone else will read this reply. This knowledge is frustrating because of "control".
Tax payer money is flooding thus battery powered option and it has been going on for 40 plus years and what reasonably priced vehicle exist because of this complicated tech that cannot be fixed at home?
Better off redeveloping the combustion engine to take alcohol. At the very least people would be able to make their own fuel with switch grass for biofuel.
The last innovation for the automotive industry for clean air was Eugene Houdry invention of the catalytic converter. In my opinion. Everything else has been explored so far.
Government has completely shut out any ability for innovation without control.
The idea of battery powered vehicles are over 120 years old. Ownership of patents become an issue.
What is interesting to me is Voltaic pile and the Daniel Cell. How Voltic pile is connected with Electrolysis.
Can you imagine some kind of gas battery running your vehicle, that has exhaust that drops water?
Check out Professor Volker Müller, and his bio-battery.
The first hydrogen powered vehicle? 1807 Francois Isaac de Rivaz was the inventor. There is the 1860 Hippomobile Etienne Lenoir from Belgium. Norwegian power company created a product named Norsk Hydro converted a was installed in a truck.
In 1941 Russian GAZ-AA trucks were converted into
Grubb-Niedrach fuel cell that was developed further by NASA and used on Project Gemini
No need for a storage tank of gas if there was a direct feed of new liquids and a way to instantly stop the hydrogen making process.

@@nobodyisprfct First of all, the Internal Combustion Engine was originally designed to run on alcohol. It was only once gasoline was discovered that they changed it to that.
Second, what do you think Ethanol is?
Thirdly, alcohol as a fuel source is VASTLY inferior to gasoline when it comes to fuel mileage, & would require so much land for the farming of the biofuel components just to keep up with US - let alone - global demand, you couldn't have any room for actual food farming - let alone having any animals around.
Fourthly, if you had PURE gas - not the crap they sell, but how it is when it's first extracted from crude oil at the refinery - & burn it using PURE oxygen - unlike the atmosphere, which has a lot of other elements in it (Most of which are there to keep the oxygen from exploding the minute lightning hits a tree.) - the end result is water vapor. All you need is to have racing gas & a closed system that uses liquid oxygen or some kind of pure oxygen bottle system, & you would eliminate all of the pollution that a gas engine creates - much of which is generated from the atmosphere itself.
Finally, the world needs more than twice as much CO2 as we're giving it in order to thrive the way it's supposed to. The Carbon Cycle has always been heavily biased toward the plants, but if we let the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere fall below 150ppm - & it's at 448ppm now, last I checked - all of the plant life on the planet will die off. Once that happens, all life will eventually cease to exist. The other stuff - like Nitrous Dioxide - that is produced from the Internal Combustion Engine, we need to minimize if not eliminate, but CO2 production we need to increase.

    • @nobodyisprfct
      @nobodyisprfct 2 роки тому +1

@@timothyhansen6581 - Your first of all point - what evidence to you have that the combustion engine was designed specifically for alcohol? It is said that Samuel Morey back in 1826 was first to patent the internal combustion engine. The hydrogen combustion engine was the first engine to power a vehicle on wheels ( de Rivaz engine 1807 ).

    • @nobodyisprfct
      @nobodyisprfct 2 роки тому +1

@@timothyhansen6581 - Your second point - are you suggesting that ethenals (grain alcohol) are all the same? I am not sure why you are bringing this up. I need to read what I wrote to, which you replied.

    • @nobodyisprfct
      @nobodyisprfct 2 роки тому +1

@@timothyhansen6581 your third point - I agree with most of what you said other that the word "vastly ". Kinda disagree with the reason why gas was used vs alcohol. In 1860 alcohol (ethenol form) was being taxed at a higher rate to pay for war debt.
Most of tech is based around gas fueled engines. Pure alcohol engines are only used in racing. The corrosive nature of ethenal to rubber and other functioning parts would need to be changed. Lead was introduced to gas to cheaply raise the Octane level. Then oops bad idea because lead is poisonous. This introduced ethenal to raise octane level.
Just a side note- alcohols used methanol ,propranolol, ethanol and butanol for racing. Ethenal is the least corrosive i beleive. I could be wrong though.
So why is raising octane level so important?
How much of a difference in mpg do you think there is between gas derived from processed oil and ethenal?
My point I was poorly making about alcohol was 1. It can be produced at home (this gives more freedom to the individual) , and currently not much tech currently that supports alcohol based engines.

Some vehicles are less practical than others, but I honestly hope that ev's will improve to the point where they put gasoline cars out of production. Seems like they're getting there, bit by bit, but they're not there yet. I'd like to see an electric " people's car " , a normal 4 or 5 seater sedan ( not an suv or pickup ) with a trunk big enough for lots of groceries or whatever. I'd like to see it get a minimum range of 500 MILES, not km, and cost no more than $20,000 Canadian. We're pretty far from that right now, but you really never know what the future will bring.

While I will admit that electric vehicles are eco-friendly in their locality, but where will the electricity used to charge the batteries come from? Currently the majority of our electricity comes from coal and natural gas fired boilers to power the steam turbines to run the generators. I suppose that's OK as long as the power plants are not in your neighborhood. Solar panels and wind turbines are useful but when one considers how many it would take to power New York City and other major cities, solar and wind doesn't sound very practical or realistic. Solar energy is only available in day time, and wind power is only available when there is wind. The amount of batteries to capture and store electricity when it's available would be enormous. We have a long way to go before we can eliminate fossil fuel powered power plants.

      envisionsolar.com/products/ec-arc/
EV ARC (Electric Vehicle Autonomous Renewable Charger) is the world's only transportable but permanent EV charging infrastructure solution. Deployed in minutes without any disruptive, time-consuming, and expensive permitting construction or electrical work, the EV ARC will support the charger and service provider of your choice. EV ARC generates and stores all its energy so you'll never get a utility bill and you'll be able to charge day and night, during inclement weather and crucially, during blackouts. Integrated EnvisionTrak, patented solar tracking enhances energy production by up to 25%. EV ARC is enabling clean, reliable EV charging in 82 municipalities, 16 states, three nations and in the Caribbean where it continued to operate during category five, 185 mph winds in 2018.
Deployed at your site and ready to charge EVs in minutes. There will be no disruption to your parking lot, business, or visitors. EV ARC is sized to fit inside a standard parking space, and because any vehicle can park on EV ARC's base pad, it does not reduce available parking in any way. As the number of electric vehicles increases, you can add more EV ARC™ units. You'll never have to plan or tear up your parking lot again. EV ARC can charge as many as six EVs at a time and can reach as many as ten parking spaces.r)
      Solar Trees*
Currently being deployed, electric buses are in cities all over the world. Companies like Tesla and Nikola are releasing electric semis. Cities are electrifying school buses, garbage trucks, and every other kind of medium and heavy-duty vehicle. Bigger vehicles need more power. The patented Solar Tree delivers. With the same great technology found in our EV ARC product, the Solar Tree combines EnvisionTrak patented sun tracking and onboard energy storage in a much larger form factor. Generating and story enough power to charge heavy-duty vehicles without connecting to the utility grid, the Solar Tree makes the perfect clean, sustainable, and reliable fast charging solution. It is delivered to your location as an easily assembled kit of parts and can be ready to operate in a fraction of time and at a fraction of the cost of a traditional utility grid-tied solution.

The down side of electric vehicles, ALL electric vehicles, range and recharge time, not to mention where you will be able to charge when you are trying to go across country. Why would I want to spend 8 hours to go 200 to 350 miles with electric against 500+ mile for the same time with petrol. Ia city I can understand electric, no pollution. In the outer area where I live electric at the present time is only feasible with Tesla which is 2 to 3 times the cost and there are no filling stations within 150 miles of my home.
