Jessica. I found you on youtube two years ago. To watch and listen to your videos is a real treat. You have no idea how this helps me in my own work. I cannot paint gorgeous almost a year now as looking after someone and it's a huge loss to me but I click in and out of your videos and get lost in a wonderful world of amazing colours and your excitement and zest for painting. Thank you so much. I have experimented with your techniques and love it.
The best paintings I’ve seen for quite some time. Fabulous! Love the intense and deeply thoughtful way that she works. The works are so full of hope and newly discovered modes of beauty.
Love your paintings. But I need to have closed captioning because of my hearing issue. And they show up as unavailable. So maybe you could push a button on your end to give me some written words. Thanks.
just discovered your work and it is so beautiful but what struck a deep cord in me was your comment about not wanting the beginnings to be too lovely cos then you have a hard time covering it up....so helpful to hear this ... i've just started using cold wax and oil and love the process and want to create the layers and textures, but i so often get caught up in not wanting to cover up a bit....anyway, just wanted to say thanks for these videos and your work is lovely! cheers from Cape Breton Island, N.S.
While her work is lovely, I disagree, oi paintings do not "last forever". They do in fact crack and dim and contaminants adhere to the surface and must be cleaned away. All of those paintings from 200 yrs ago are either stored away from the elements, light and human view or they are in a constant state of "decomposition" and need care and cleaning. Take Van Gogh's Sunflowers, it has gotten significantly darker and dingier since he painted it. But if you like working in oil work in oil. It's your art.

hi jessica , I'm riddhima sharraf from India and love your works and ideas
very good paintings, thanks for sharing
JESSICA it's very nice to watch. ☺️👍
you make some good points that apply to other types of art.
Good stuff :)
Jessica what paints do you use?! I understood it is oil paint but at the same time you use it really liquid ?!
I believe she mixes oil paint with glaze. A large amount of linseed oil or alkyd with a tiny amount of pigment.

What medium are you using
Beautiful, brave work.
elegiac and exquisite work,...the process takes some guts, well done!
Oh, damn! @0:37!
Legendas por favor .
Pleas. Music ,?? Beethoven ? Triple concerto???
Beautiful. I think i am going to get my hair cut the same way hers. Maybe the hair taking part of my eyes, i see the world the way she does.
You said you paint with oil paints? You water it down?
Nothing into this art looks like oil based paints at all.
Oil paint mixed with thinner...the ratio is the painters choice based on what the desired effect is they are hoping to achieve.
What do you use as thinners?
One painting a year? One solo show every ten years?
This is very painstaking work!
wonderful your art. I've never seen anything like it.
Lovely Indeed!
WOW
Someone married well.
Bravo!

You need to be wearing gloves, young lady, if are working with oils and turpentine. Don’t make me fuss at you again.
step 1: throw paint at a canvas
step 2: scrape it in
step 3: talk shite
Wow. So sorry your heart has died.
Well in your case you just cut to the talk shite stage.
Rubbish. It is not art. Therapy, but not art. It is no better than a well used paint palette.
Always one negative Nelly. Let’s see your art work.
Sit down.
Sorry for you, there is absolutely no sensitivity in your bones and so I cannot explain it to you
